Rating: Summary: Sexy... but try before you buy Review: All I did was go to US Cellular to test the phone before I bought it (I've been researching pre-paid plans). The phone opened easily with my thumb, but the buttons are so small I couldn't navigate well at all. Also, keep in mind that the numbered buttons are flat against the plastic. I found it very difficult to type/dial by feel. The calendar function was not up to par either. It was very difficult to navigate and enter data. I wish I could give you the most imporant "signal strength" opinion but I did not buy the phone. I'm going to wait for a second version to come out that will hopefully have these issues fixed.
Rating: Summary: After reading Review: After reading just one review, I want this phone really bad and looks like it worth getting. It a lot better than getting a high celler phone bill and not knowing why are being charge so much. I wish the company who makes this phone also put out in colors, if it does not have long disantis on, it should right way.
Rating: Summary: V5 Slider Review: This coolio phone is as cool as a doggy.

Rating: Summary: Cool gadget of the season! Review: The new Slide V5 phone is the perfect gift for this holiday season. It's super-cool and super-useful. It's a bit pricey, but where else can you get a slide phone with color screen, excelent voice clarity, four enjoyable games (including Tetris and Brick Attack!), MTV content, and the best stylish design on a cell phone? Of course if you are looking for a phone for your mom you'd save money with the Rave phone, also for Virgin. But if your girlfriend or boyfriend wants the latest super-cool phone, this is the one to get. She/he/you will just have so much fun with it. Of course I do wish it were a bit cheaper, even when Virgin gives you $15 starter time when you activate the phone online. In short, this is not cheap, but it's way cool, and if you don't make many phone calls, this saves you money in the long run.
Rating: Summary: Great little package Review: I received this phone last week and all I can say is WOW. I have been impressed with every aspect. The design is perfect, nice and small with a great color screen. The sliding design works well and is something we'll be seeing a lot of in the future. I've played around with the *MTV stuff and it's ok but that's not why I bought the phone. Reception (in general) is poor where I live but this phone does much better than my previous prepay from Cingular. One final note: Virgin Mobile's customer service is outstanding. I called them a couple of times during setup and never waited more than 20 seconds on hold. They were very helpful in getting me a phone number within my area code which is becoming harder and harder to do these days.
Rating: Summary: Stylish phone + great features = Excellent phone! Review: FINALLY! A prepaid/no contract phone with color! I knew I had to get it. And boy am I glad I did. I used to have (and use) the VOX - which is a good phone too. But this one is so much better. The Slider has a cool, stylish design. The front "plate" slides up to reveal keypad. You will be so proud pulling it out; as some of the prepaid phones look...well prepaid. People are very surprised when I tell them it is a no contract plan. I like that you are able to assign ringtones and pictures to certain people/phone numbers. You can even access the MTV and VH1 site from the phone, which has fun features like "On air shows", "Alerts", and "News". Other pluses of this cell phone include voice memo, voice dialer, speaker, text messaging, fun wallpapers and screensavers, alarm clock, calculators, timer, stopwatch, downloadable ringtones, schedulers, games and more. $10 of airtime is included to start you off. It is so easy to set up and use. I do have a couple small complaints. First, the buttons are small and a little awkward to use when navigating. This makes it a little difficult when inputting data like addresses and notes. I have seen a data cable for this phone, and plan to purchase one soon. I think this will make the task of typing a lot easier and faster than using the Slider's keypad. Also, the phone is a slightly bulky - not terribly bad, but definitely bigger and little more weightier than the "Vox". Finally, the ring tomes are sometimes not very loud. There have been times where I have pulled the phone out of my purse to find that I missed a call or two. That said, the wonderful features I mention above more than make up for those minor issues for me. This phone has a lot (if not more) of the same features my sister has on her phone service, but, SHE'S ON A CONTRACT! I love this phone and would definitely recommend it to anyone that is interested in a stylish, fun, no contract, and easy to use phone plan. Go for it!
Rating: Summary: The Good the Bad of the Virgin Slider Review: If you are looking for a cool looking phone and want to be able to get cool ringtones and vote on video clash and other related mtv specials then you should buy this phone. I found with this phone that I had to pay a ridiculous amount for my minutes which is 25 cents a minute and then 10 cents after the first ten minutes. This happens everyday so you end up spending as much as you would with an expensive plan but you don't get as many minutes as if you had a different plan. I also can never find a signal so I find myself walking around looking like an idiot trying to call someone. I do not recomend this phone if your a teenager or an adult who uses their phone a lot because it will burn a hole in you pocket.
