Rating: Summary: This is a great FREE phone Review: I shopped and shopped for a first cell phone. Hubby and I both got i30 phones for free with Nextel plans. He has since upgraded to a phone with more options, but I find the i30 does everything I need. I can walkie-talkie him, and my other family members who also have Nextel phones. This phone actually came with MORE options than I will ever use, such as text messaging and internet connection. I've had this same phone for 14 months now, and I am completely happy. I travel with it, and walkie talkie family 1000 miles away and it sounds as if we are in the same room. By the way, I work in an office with walls that are stone, and they are three foot thick (a converted dairy barn) and MY PHONE, the ONLY NEXTEL, is the ONLY phone that works inside the workplace. My coworkers gripe as they answer their phones and have to walk outside. They freeze in the winter and sweat in the summer. I've found I can use my phone anywhere. Only once did I have some trouble, we were camping in the mountains and I got under a power line and was down in a valley. There were VERY FEW if any cell towers around, but my calls STILL went through even though I had to turn my volume up to hear folks. I don't believe any other cell phone would have performed so well. NO cell phone will work without CELL PHONE TOWERS. If you live in such a rural area where there are no towers, make sure you check with a Nextel Rep to see if ANY cell phone will work in your area. My Nextel has proved to perform on our camping trips when other campers with other phones can't even get a signal. I can't sing its praises enough, and the best part was my phone was free.
Rating: Summary: Just Ok Review: I think it is an ok phone if your not going to use it alot.
