Summary: dropped calls galore
Review: for $300 this phone should SHINE!! let alone it has a camera, voice recording capability, you can see a cute lil picture of the person that is calling... BUT YOU CAN"T HOLD A CONVERSATION PAST ABOUT 13-14 mins BEFORE IT DROPS!! i called T-mobile & was told to get the Motorola SIM card not the Nokia one. that hasn't helped one bit!!! for the amount of money (we got 3 of them; me, g/f & dad and we ALL HAVE THE same troubles)... you should be able to complete a call whether you are talking across the street or to china. SIM card didnt change anything. my 'OLD' & 'FREE' Nokia worked GREAT. battery didnt hold a charge. no camera & no color screen but i could complete my call with no probs... you be the judge.
PS: And the camera isn't that great, i will stick with our Fuji S5000 thank you very much.

Summary: Nice consumer phone, get another one for business use
Review: Just got my V300 yesterday, and will be returning it on Monday. It is a nice phone indeed, very good reception, nice look&feel, quality screen, etc. My problem is that it does not offer some of the features I was used to on my T68i (more flexible address book, ability to use a phone card, etc.). So I am going to get a T610 instead.

Summary: Don't be fooled by the hype...
Review: The V300 is nice looking phone with a nice looking display and a few good features, but it has many pitfalls. The first and biggest problem is the external antenna. It is very fragile and if you drop it even from waist height and it happens to land on the antenna, it's had it. To make the problem worse is, if you send it to T-Mobile to have it fixed, be assure you will receive a $70 addition on your next bill. Just for an antenna replacement!The other huge problem with the phone is that the camera stinks. It takes terrible, low quality pictures that are only half way descent looking on a small phone display. Try sending one of the pictures to an email address and you will really find out how almost worthless the picture is in actual size. The two nice features on the phone that I am glad I have is a nice Datebook feature with alarm, and the ability to send email and (even if it is a terrible picture) a picture direct from anywhere you have service. My advice is to not fall for the nice appearances and buy another, more expensive camera phone with an internal antenna and a nicer camera. For example, the Samsung that T-Mobile offers. Or wait until picture phone technology improves, and buy then.

Summary: Great Phone, Light Buttons
Review: This phone was purchased with the T-Mobile plan to replace a Nokia phone with AT&T. I changed phones and service because my old phone could not get reception inside of buildings. I chose the V300 due to the external antennae. I have had the phone for two weeks now and I have been very pleased. The reception is a bit tinny sometimes, but overall I have not had any problems with dropped calls. I text message quite frequently and the phone offers you two choices for writing your text. The first is an intuitive text entry method where the phone guesses the words that you are trying to type and displays them on the screen for you to choose. This method is supposed to save time, but I have not yet gotten the hang of it. The second method is the tried and true press each button for each letter method. My only problem with the phone is that the buttons are not the same shape and are spaced apart which makes text messaging a bit trickier at first. Plus the numbers and letters which are written on the buttons are very light and I often have to shift the angle of the phone in order just to read the buttons. The light text might also be an issue for someone with vision problems. Overall, I would recommend this phone. The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because I think that Motorola needs to darken the text on the buttons for those users who like to text message or who have vision problems.

Summary: WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM T-Mob!le!!!
Review: I am a heavy user who treats his cell phone like a beloved pet. I bought my phone from a brick-and-mortar store operated by T-Mob!le, two months ago today. Yesterday the power button would not respond (SAME PROBLEM as with T720i I had prior). Today, I was told that since it was not within 30 days of purchase, I could probably only get a refurbished model sent to me (the store would not give me one of the new ones lying around the store). I've been with T-Mob!le for years. Today I paid 200 to get out of my contract and switched to ATT. This phone and carrier does not deserve your attention or your money.

Summary: do not buy!!
Review: this model worked for 8 days then went dark, also do not under any circumstances no matter what kind of deal it looks like, order a phone and plan from cellularchoices.com or inphonic. this company sold me this piece of sh*t motorola then a samsung that worked for 11 days, the rebates are bogus they'll never even send you the rebate form. It took dozens of phone calls and weeks to get my money refunded, the rebates are a scam to make it look like you're getting the phone for free.

Summary: Great phone by motorola, best in the market
Review: This is the best phone that i have used. It has best color display of all the available phones. Easy to use and loads of features to use. Pictures taken with the inbuilt camera are really nice and clear also has 4X digital zoom, but you cant replace digicams for it... Compatible software allows you to transform ringtones and pictures to phone from computer and vice versa.
Great buy go ahead with it.

Summary: V300 is not perfect, but still a very good phone
Review: Got this phone 2 weeks ago and have been thrilled with all the new features it has when compared with my old Nokia 3360. Took 10 days to get my phone shipped because of an internal problem at Amazon. However, I was highly delighted when T-mobile was able to transfer my number from AT&T within 12 hours! Much better than expected and I'll highly recommend the process to anyone. As for the phone itself, here are my pros and cons: Pros:
- Very nice screen
- Voice dialing works well
- iTAP typing seems to work well, although it takes a bit of an adjustment initially for a Nokia user
- Rubberized feel to the exterior. Very elegant.
- Good weight. Phones that are too light feels flimsy. And it's still lighter than my previous Nokia
- Moto Mixer. Wished there were more MIDI tones to play with though.
- Picture ID Cons:
- Speakerphone volume is too low even at max volume
- Cannot lock the master clear setting. Wished I could do that since I don't want ppl to just come over and delete all my settings, phonebook and pictures with one button press!
- Picture of the caller does not come up if phone is set to connect a call upon opening the flip
- Battery life. 2 days between charge for normal use.
- Battery indicator is not accurate during charge. Sometimes I remove the phone during charge-up and the indicator will jump from 1 to 3 dots upon removal of the cable.
- It vibrates every 5 min when there is unread voicemail/message. This is annoying because sometimes I don't want to pick up the message til after a meeting.
-Somewhat tedious to add extra numbers to a single person since the entries are individually stored inside the phone. For example, the picture ID needs to be added to each number. Overall I love the phone and spent hours testing out its features. Highly recommended. -Vi
