Rating: Summary: They don't rip you off for your minutes Review: A representitaive at TMobile told me that even though you will be charged .50cents a minute for calls, even though they should be less, you still get how many minutes your card says. For instance, if you buy a $... card, they will actually put $... on your account in order to maintain the .50cents a minute, and giving you 100minutes. My guess as to why they do this? Its easier then having to program a phone that the ... dollar card is so much per minute, and the ... is this much per minute. So if you think your overcharged, don't worry, its just a misunderstanding.
Rating: Summary: T-Mobile is by far the best wireless service! Review: Although pre-paid isn't really the best value when you calculate cost per minute, I went with this pre-paid service because I live in a rural area that gets no cell service and I just need something for occasional use and emergencies when I'm traveling. I've gone through AT&T (the WORST when it comes to reception I think) and Virgin Mobil (which runs on the Sprint PCS network) and my T-mobile phone gets the best reception by far. It used to be I'd have to drive out 15 miles from my house to get a signal from those other wireless services, and even then they would cut in and out, but with T-mobile, service comes in right as I get out of the mountain (about 3 miles away form my house) and works just about everywhere I need it to. Excellent reception! The Nokia 3390 is also a very easy to use phone. It's a little bigger than I'd like, but it's still great.
Rating: Summary: Great For Kids Review: For Christmas I bought my child this phone for Christmas. There are some disadvantages though, that is the minutes cost alot of money, that is it. My daughter loves it. She loves text-messaging just as much as she loves instant messanger. She also loves talking on it. "You can hear what people say real well!"she told me. She loves the games and T-Mobile really out did themselves (TRULEY).
Rating: Summary: Missing information Review: I can't find any information here about HOW MUCH PER MINUTE this phone costs. So I called the 1-800 number listed in the Plan Information link. The guy at the other end DIDN'T KNOW. After being on hold for about 5 minutes, he came back and said it was 33 cents a minute. Let's hope that's true. I sure as heck would like to see this in writing before spending $90.
Rating: Summary: Try to find out what the minutes cost on the website Review: I considered purchasing a T-Mobile phone but after going to the website and looking under the prepaid phone section under the heading important information (which was on the left side of the screen) I saw that each domestic minute cost $.30 - .50 a minute. I wasn't so sure after that, even if the phones do look nice. I settled on a virgin mobile phone $.25 a minute for the first ten minutes and then $.10 for the rest of the day.I mean if you are looking for special features you should consider T-mobile, but that wasn't my main focus in looking for a cell phone.
Rating: Summary: the phone is confusing Review: I do not know how to use the phone card feature on my phone and I have been looking for info on it for a day now!
Rating: Summary: Poor credit...average credit this is for you.... Review: This phone is great for the mass population of poor to less than average credit folk........The total costs for this phone including minutes used and the cost for prime time usage really hit the lower 30% of or population in the gut......I think it is a great phone if you can afford it....I am in the lowest of the low 30% of or great nation...I think overall it is an exceptional deal for what is offered to us the 1/3 of the population!......I hope this is a helpful caution......
Rating: Summary: This phone is really good. Review: This phone is really good if you are looking for a phone with nationwide coverage. Only with T-Mobile you can send Text messages all around the world. I am using it to send messages to my friends in Europe and it works (you get even a delivery report)!!! You dont need to sign anything. Just buy it and use it without any restrictions. No monthly payments with this phone. And NOKIA is best brand in cell phones.
Rating: Summary: Pre-Paid Emergency Review: This was my 2nd phone. The first one I had a plan on which didn't work out because I would go waaaay over my minutes. Pre-Paid is good just for having a phone and for emergencies that's about it. If you talk more than 30 minutes a day on a cell phone then pre-paid isn't for you. I mainly just text if I can. While I'm not sure of the cent's per minute heres what I do know: 10 Cents a TEXT, incoming text is free $15 refill card - last about 2 weeks $25 refill card - last about a month $50 refill card - last about 2 months $100 refill card - last about 2 months Gold Rewards: After you spend a certain amount on refill cards ($250 I think) total, it doubles the amount purchased so if you buy a $15 refill card it will be worth $30 (too bad the expiration doesn't double :( Once you pass the expiration they don't rollover so what you do is buy another refill card the day before it expires so that whatever's left will rollover. CUSTOMIZATION (The following is about making your phone YOURS): Customizing features SUCK on this phone. T-Mobile doesn't allow any customization features. Let's see, you can download ringtones...WOW...I tried downloading a new logo (a logo is your service provider, so this would say "T-Mobile") and it would not work. I bought this thing called the logo manager where it lets you customize the Logo and Startup Logo ("Welcome to T-Mobile") and none of it works. The only thing that I can customize is the screensaver. I can make my own. But YOU CANNOT DOWNLOAD SCREENSAVERS. You either buy the logo manager or you use the one's the phone has. As for looks though, I have 9 covers for it, you can buy flip covers for it if you know where to go. Backlighting is green (like most LCD nokia's) but im getting those mod'ed for bright white one's, I've also bought a light up keypad and light up battery. I've spent way too much on this phone so that's preety much the only reason why im keeping it. Again... Only buy for emergencies your 10 year old kid who just wants a cell phone Your really broke/have really bad credit and Cell phone companies don't trust you with a plan If your teenager already screwed up his plan
