Nokia 3595 Phone (T-Mobile)

Summary: worst phone ever
Review: I am on my second 3595 (they actually replaced one for free) and it's worst than the first one. The first one just had the keypad stop working. This second one plays all sorts of games, the keys work sometimes, it rings sometimes, it drops calls sometimes, it calls people on it's own, it's a terrible phone and I hate it. I'd take whatever else they offer before taking this one, which is free if you have been a customer for a long time or if you are new, for me it cost $40 because even though my service has been with them for more than 5 years, my contract started over when I moved for some reason.

Review: I've had this phone for about 6 months and I haven't had any problems. It's a good phone and it does what you need it to...but that's about it. If all you plan to do is call people and make the occasional message, this is fine. Otherwise, it's a little dull.

i got the nokia 3595 about a year ago. it was my first celly and for the first 3 months it worked pretty good. but then i started encountering problems. first off, i wouldn't recieve my calls i would get the little thing that said i had about 3 voice mail and my phone would not ring once (and yes it WAS on). next was the problem of it going on silent. i go to high school and when i go to school in the morning i would put my phone on "silent mode" so it would vibrate instead of ringing. and there would be times that my phone would ring in class (why would someone want 2 call me during school hours?? but thats not the point). my point being that when my phone is put on silent mode, it gets an additude and starts to ring, even if i did change the ringing options in the settings menu. but then the weirdest thing would happen...when i would put my phone on "normal" it would vibrate as if it was on silent...go figure..

another problem i would encounter is receiving text messages. when i would go to read a text message the message would be blank. then it would switch me back to the main screen and all of my signal bars would be gone and it would say at the top "Insert SIM Card". other times i would get text messages and i would read them and when i would go back to the main screen and that stupid envelope icon would still be there as if i didn't read the message. and it would take a couple days for it to go away too.

yet another problem is the reception. im not sure if its the phone to blame or its the service or maybe a little bit of both. but i could be in a place where on any normal day i would have 100% reception and then on a certain day my signal bar would barely be there. my bedroom is a good example, for the most part i get good reception in there but then there are the days that my phone gives me additude and i cant make a call from there. or i could be in a place like in the mall and everyone else had a signal on their phone except for me of course.

one more problem that i must list is that my nokia 3595 has the tendency to black out spontaneously or freeze. i would be in the middle of doing something and my phone would just freeze up. it wouldn't even turn off. i would have to take the battery out and pop it back in if i wanted to get my phone working again. or other times when someone would be calling me and before i would answer my phone or right after i would press the answer key my phone would black out for about 10 seconds and i would be back at the main screen and it would say "Insert SIM Card".

this phone has many more problems that i have yet to list (such as battery, calls being dropped, and the phone's ugly design) because my fingers are simply too tired from writing this long horrible review. im not sure if they even sell this phone anymore (if they dont i wonder why???), but if they do, i warn you strongly not to get it. this phone is lousy and i am sooo thankful that i have upgraded 2 my new samsung!!! im sorry for anyone that has to put up with this phone.

Summary: Can't even get all my calls...
Review: This phone barely works and most of the time I don't recieve my incoming calls and messages, even with perfect reception. It's either the phone or the service, but either one sucks and no one should have to put up with this when you're paying $50 a month for service you can't even use! Stay away from T-Mobile, go with Cingular instead. Trust me.

Summary: Junk, junk, junk
Review: I received my Nokia 3595 through T-Mobile... it has been nothing but a problem. First, and most annoying, is the fact that the SIM card slips out of place. Trust me, it's inserted correctly. But sometimes, I will try to use the phone and it will say "insert valid sim card." I will then have to remove the back cover and battery to wiggle the card. Then, I have to re-insert the battery, put the cover back on, and reset the time and date -- lost due to the fact that I removed the battery. I even used scotch tape to hold it in place. Nope, didn't work.

This phone has the audio quality of two tin cans tied together with a string. The mouth piece is on the bottom, and it picks up a tremendous amount of ambient room noise. I sometimes have to cover the mouth piece to hear what the other person is saying. Or I turn the phone around and speak right into the bottom -- so they can hear what I am saying in a loud room.

Not to mention, the layout of the keys can make for difficult typing. Four numbers (2&5, 8&0) are shared on two keys, and the rocker mechanism for the two keys does not always work correctly.

This phone is a piece of junk. As soon as my replacement arrives, I may drive over my Nokia with the car.

Summary: Sturdiest Phone EVER MADE
Review: The Nokia 3595 is one of the sturdiest phones I have every owned.I always try and stick with Nokia as they are durable. I must have dropped this phone over a hundred times on every surface imaginable and it keeps on going.My boyfriend has the same phone, he dropped his in the toilet then ran it under hot water, 2 days later after the phone dried out it worked almost as good as new. The only problem is after almost a year, the key pad is wearing out and starting to separate from each other.The keypad is a little weird to get used to but eventually you can memorize where all the keys are and it makes text messaging very easy.A great great phone.Easy to use.

Summary: good entry level phone
Review: I want my cell phone to be like a cell phone - portable and reliable. This phone does it well. I always get the entry level phones from TMobile because they are free, and why pay $100 or more on technology that gets old in a week? This phone has very good reception compare to all the previous Nokia's and Samsungs I had: I used not able to talk on the phone in my apt before, now with this 3595 I can talk in any room.
What I like about this phone:
1. Free! (I believe TMo has discontinued this model, but that silver one, also free, is the same phone with a more conventional keypad layout)
2. Nokia has a VERY user friendly menu that loads quickly and actually make sense. This is probably the best about Nokias, u can add/search for numbers during conversation easily, 3way/conference call is very simple, too. If you have ever used a Samsung, u know what I am talking about - Korenglish can be funny/annoying.
3. Some phones makes a stupid noise when it's turning on/off, even in silent mode. Not with Nokia. Switching btw ring tones/silent is very easy, just press the power button and you are there, u dont have to go thru levels of menu to get to ring tone settings.
4. long battery life.
5. TMo is cheap, good customer service

What's not so perfect about this phone:
1. it's not the smallest or the lightest phone, nor is it the sexiest
2. buttons... ugh, why why why? Okay, it took me about a week to get used to these funky buttons, and now I have no problem dialing numbers, but text messaging can be tricky, since

Summary: Some keys don't work well.
Review: This phone worked fine for me for about 6 months. The keypad is failing now. Right now I'm trying to get a 1 and all I'm getting are 2s and I'm pressing the 1 button in every direction. Sometime I have to press the 9 button a few times before I get it -- then I have to clear the 6s that were displayed instead.

Summary: Cool phone
Review: Good volume, can turn it up or down. Lot of cool ringtones. Battery lasts long time. Can talk for 4 hours and the battery is still good (Yes, I do love to talk on phone :) LOL). You can even talk on it, while your adapter is plugged in so you won't use up your battery. Reception is okay as long as your finger doesn't touch the antennae, which you can accidently rub since it's right behind the phone. Weird, I know. Other than that it's cool.

Summary: Wierdly durable
Review: I got this phone free with my plan and I hate it!!!! It has a crappy screen. It is color which was an upgrade from my Nokia 3510 but not good. The keypad is uncomfortable to use and gets annoying. The bottom line is that if you want a phone that will just make calls and is cost efficient get this one if not find another one there are a lot out there. There is a plus side I washed this phone in the washing machine with my jeans and all I had to do was dry it of and it worked fine that is amazing!!!
