Rating: Summary: Nokia 3390 to Nokia 3595 is NOT an upgrade Review: I'm a T-Mobile customer. I've had my Nokia 3390 for about 1&1/2 years. I started having battery life issues, so I called T-Mobile to get a new battery. They offered me an "upgrade" to the Nokia 3595 for less than the cost of a new battery on the 3390. That being said, this phone is a definite DOWNGRADE for me. The 3390 had distinctive ring tones with dozens of songs to choose from. The volume was adjustable to an appropriate level for both the ringer and the headset. The 3595 is OBNOXIOUS. If you're a gadgets person, you'll love it. The keypad is whacked. The lowest volume level is LOUD. I have distortion issues with the earpiece that came with the phone. I now only have about 6 different ringtones to choose from. In addition, the 3390 kept your address book as a continuous list. On the 3595, if you type "S", you can only view those entries that begin with an "S". Too many buttons, menus and mass confusion. F
Rating: Summary: Buy it for the looks that it gets you.. Review: I got the Nokia 3650 about 7 months back and I must say this is the best phone I can think of right now. I first got the phone because of its looks but then when I got it, it has so many features that makes this phone stand out. It has almost all the features of a PDA plus the camera is very very good. I took this phone when I went to India and everyone just loved this phone. The voice quality is very good and it even gets the signal with the poorest signal strength. This I can state with some degree of confidence because I have been to buildings where a sony-ericsson would not get the signal but a nokia would. Also, its a very solid phone because I have dropped it quite a few number of times but it works perfectly fine till date. I love to flaunt my phone because it has the looks plus it provides you with awesome service.
Rating: Summary: It Doesn't Have Everything But It Has What You Need Review: I find this to be a unique phone: you can keep it as is out of the box or adorn it with "goodies". I have three 3595s (W/O any problems so far) and reading the User's Guide is helpful. If you're like me I use the guide basically explain of the phone's capabilities. Then the playing begins! Obviously, some phone accessories depend upon your service provider. For example I use the "regular" 3595 phone functions but I also have Web access, International calling, Bank by Phone, polyphonic ringtones and backgrounds. I still believe that Nokia makes great products so I've added shares to my stock portfolio.I miss the direct Ira function and the enhanced Nokia PC software package available for my 3360. The no. keys are an initial challenge to learn and the letters on the keys are small. Overall, I find this phone to be adaptible, very light and fun to use. Is it perfect? What is?
Rating: Summary: Why are Nokia models not as good as before? Review: This Nokia phone does have a color screen, is nice, and is cool. Yet, since there is no antenna, It gets no signal in a lot of places. Also when you recieve a text message, you aren't notified until a few days later!!
Rating: Summary: Solid phone, lacks extra features Review: I have had this phone for a few months, and it isnt living up to the things that I need. I am a tech freak, and this phone isnt capable enough. However, it is a solid phone, suitable for people who want to make calls with a few neat apps but little else. The phone is well made, with a good screen and functional keypad, albeit with an awkward design. Very functional. Battery lasted for a long time before I had to recharge it. It is a good phone for people who dont need much from a phone.
Rating: Summary: For your well-being, DO NOT purchase this phone Review: I have owned 5 different cell phones and this one takes the cake as the worst of them all. Not only did I return it for a Samsung after 5 months, I also sold my stock in Nokia because I could not hold shares in a company that manufactured such poor quality products. For one, the SIM card would not register and I would have to disasemble the phone and put it back together again (a weekly occurance) Two, the time would always be 4 minutes off, yes I would reset it and still, 4 minutes off. THree, the phone would freeze up on me for hours at a time or unitl I shut it off and turned it back on again. I have two other friends that have the SIM card issue and the freezing problem. Please do not purchase this phone.
Rating: Summary: Very Mediocre Phone Review: Having lived with the 3595 for several months now, I feel ready to describe it. To start, this is my first cellular. First the good, the buttons, though they look strange, are big enough where it is easy to not mis-dial. The screen is adequate and the phone is lightweight. Now that I've got that out of the way . .. They made this phone with the slipperiest plastic that they could find. There are a few effects from this poor choice. When trying to rest the phone on my shoulder and talk, It invariable shoots out between my neck and ear across the room. There is about a 1" diameter rubber circle on the back of the phone which is supposed to grip, but I never can balance that just right on my shoulder. So your hands will always be tied up using this phone, or you'll have to use the included ear bud. The more damaging effect of the ultra slick casing is that it slips out of pockets very very easily. My first phone happened to do this a store when I sat down, and was subsequently stolen (At Babies R' Us by an employee as it turns out!). You probably should go ahead and by a few of these because you will likely lose one or two. This phone is not without it's bugs either. About once a month the phone stops working (Sometimes in the middle of a conversation) and gives a SIM card error. This requires taking apart the phone (It's real fun trying to pull the super slippery plastic pieces apart) removing the battery, removing the SIM card and reassembling the phone. Also, the buttons are somewhat unresponsive. Dial, will often take a few tries. However, the hang up button is ultra sensitive, so be prepared to hang up on your friends often. The phone is too lightweight, it feels insignificant and cheap. An okay phone if they give it away for free with your plan, other than that AVOID IT!!!
Rating: Summary: Horrible Review: The 3595 is a a cheap, lousy phone. I am returning mine. The voice quality is horrible. I hear a constant hum in my ear, and people say that I sound like I have something in my mouth.
Rating: Summary: Same old twist on a new phone Review: This is a great phone don't get me wrong however it's just the same old thing as all the phones go. They give you alittle more and you buy it and 2 weeks later you'll wish you had not!! You'll find this phone lacking in Polyphonic ring tone quality and even the low connection quality in areas where you may need it most. Disney world all over the resort areas I was unable to use it. In downtown Pheonix I could not get a thing. In Penn at Hersey Park forget it not a bit of signal. The Jersey Shore the same thing. I did get great signal in Philly and in Tampa FL. I would go for the the T722 from Motorola or even something else with more screen and better quality. Just my opinion take it or leave it as you like.
Rating: Summary: AT&T Wireless Nokia 3595 Review: This phone is a good phone for the price you pay.But if you couple it with ATT the marriage is a not a good one.The signal fades out with out any reason,i cant pick the signal in my bedroom so if the call is an important one i have to get out of my apt. Some times the voice mail shows up like a day after it was up.The worst part is when i have to make a call and the service says "all circuits are busy please try your call later".I guess its the service rather than the phone i am not sure may be a mix of the two.So think.........before you take this combo.(ATT Nokia 3595)
