Summary: Feature rich, fun, and svelte.
Review: This handset is NOT as large as you think. Many people see the picture and assume it must be a boat. It isn't.Having said that, I wish I could give a 4.5 rating - it seems to be snug in that area. My only complaint so far (Having owned it for 4 days) is that it's too light. I would like it to be just a little heftier or feel a touch more substancial. Silly, right? Maybe. The display is gorgeous. It is over 4000 colors, which is reasonable for sure. It doesn't run the normal Nokia software either - they used the Symbian OS and this gives a nice Calendar and ToDo list function as well as other software too. It's pretty slick. You can easily sync to Outlook if you so desire. If you only need a PDA for basic calendaring and ToDo lists you could most likely do it all on this mobile phone. The camera is certainly more a gimmick than a photographic tool certainly. But I've used it a lot this week sending photos to friends, my girlfriend, and even my parents. It's quite handy. If you're not prepared to spend a lot of money each month on your mobile bill you will NOT want this phone however - it's easy to rack up some big charges! In the first two days I used 1 MB of data. Granted, I was going completely nuts with it. MMS works well, SMS is handy. The unique positioning of the keys aggrevates some and excites others. I like it, personally. It makes it a little weird to dial numbers but text messaging and sending email is easier if you can believe that. The video quality is poor by camcorder standards, average by the webcam standards some people use these days. It appears that there is no limitation to the number of contacts you can store - it's based on the memory on the phone so you can have hundreds. Thanks to Bluetooth I sent over 200 of my contacts directly to the phone from Palm Desktop and Outlook without punching in a single number or plugging in a cable. Kickass! T-Mobile has a 14 day return policy, AT&T 30 days. Try it out and see what you think! You may just fall in love.

Summary: Really Hot--Throw Away the PDA and Keep Just This!
Review: I have been using cellular telephones since 1987, PDAs since 1996; I am now just going to carry my Nokia 3650 with me, it does it all. Great software, easy to use, great hardware: gets much better coverage and signal strength than my older AT&T phones in the same areas where I lost many a telephone call. MP3 addon is my next goal, plus Bluetooth headset (no more cables for me), plus handsfree Bluetooth in the car (Bluetooth enabled stereo speakers and a Bluetooth microphone on the visor)

Review: I purchased this phone based on research, features, and bang for your buck, and personal experience with other digital devices. Background:
I hesitated buying a cel phone for a long long time. When the Nokia 8290 came out (the small nokia's) I bought one based on it's size and capabilities. Because of the work that I did I became familiar with and a user of computers, laptops, 2 way pagers, Palm and Windows CE PDA's, Gameboys, Gaming Consoles, and other emerging digital technologies for personal, business, and entertainment purposes. When I saw and read about a few of the model phones that Nokia was working on, I said finally someone is combining the best Cellular Phone technologies, Pager Technologies, Wireless Radio Technologies, PDA features and compatability and PC connectivity. The Nitty Gritty:
The Nokia 3650 has it all. I was easily able to infrared beam my contacts from both my Nokia 8290 and my Palm Compatible Sony CLIE. The 640x480 jpg pictures it takes are clear and easily useable either locally or send via MMS or email to other phones or internet users. I haven't used the video feature yet, but the videos that come with it and the real player look promising. The user interface combines the best of cel phone, pda and windows XP/Mac OS style features and functionality. The main controling is done via a thumb pad that allows you up/down, left/right, and select. Comes with over 3MB internal memory as well as a standard 16 MB Multimedia card that you can upgrade to hold a lot more pictures, applications, videos, or audio files. The SIM chip is supposed to be able to hold up to 250 Contacts. Infrared Compatible with Palm PDA's (I don't know about Windows CE units, but I would guess that as long as they are standard IRDA compatible it should be ok) Allows internet browsing. Has a message center that allows you to check your various email accounts (AOL, Yahoo)(I'm using AT&T's mMODE). AOL Instant Messenger and Yahoo Messenger Compatible. It's pretty cool. Has standard text messaging capabilities as well as new Multimedia messenging abilities that allow for pictures and sounds to be send to other MMS compatible devices or via email. Bluetooth wiress technology compatible, JAVA and Symbian software compatible. Comes with a calendar, 2 games, notes program, calculator, money conversion program, voice recorder, note composer, and alarm clock (which works even if you turn the phone off). You can add images and sound tags to any of your contacts. Don't let the round dial throw you off, this phone is the all in one gadget you've been waiting for. If you take advantage of the rebates that are offered you should be able to get this phone at a very reasonable price. OG says check it out!

Summary: Great phone, needs help as PDA
Review: I got this as a single device replacement for my cell phone and Palm Vx. Its performance as a phone has been a tremendous improvement over my old Ericsson T19LX - call quality using AT&T service in New York is great, as is having my PDA address book integrated with the phone so I don't have to worry about updating phone numbers in multiple places. The size is quite respectable considering how much functionality it contains, but definitely somewhat large for a current model phone. As a PDA, it is functional but suffers from some flaws. Importing contacts from Palm Desktop did not work - many entries where I had a home and mobile number showed up with one entry called homemobile and dropped the other number. When I moved everything to Outlook and synchronized it worked fine. However, it still does not sync note fields for to-do and calendar entries, and Nokia says they have no plans to fix that. The phone's to-do editor does not let you make an entry without a due date, and also does not let you turn off the alarm that occurs on the due date. Accessing POP3 email works, but if you want to delete a message from the phone while leaving it on your server you still have to leave the header on the phone and scroll past it in your inbox. I solved some other problems by installing ActiveDesk and ActiveMail from Cibenix, which I would definitely recommend if you purchase this phone. Overall, I would give this 5 stars for packing some great hardware into an attractive package with great phone functionality at a good price. However, the PDA software flaws knock it down a notch.

Summary: Great Phone, Camera, Camcorder but not Price
Review: The camera is great and takes really good pictures, as does the camcorder. I havent had problems with it and i think its fantastic. The only problem is that the keypad and the menus take a little time to get used to. I love everything about it except the large price tag, yet compare it to some of the nextel phones and you see what kind of a deal your getting, you are getting twice as many features for the smae price

- the circular layout of the keypad is counter to how i've trained my thumb to key in numbers
- could be lighter
- too bulky for a pants pocket
- battery life could be better
- only low-resolution still shots (ok for the web but not for printing)
- screen is only capable of 4,096 colors
- cannot record sound while recording video

Summary: A World Phone, Computer, And ISP In Your Pocket
Review: An address book, calendar, to-do list, digital camera, video camera, and portable gaming machine. This phone has almost everything I could possibly want in a smaller-than-it-looks package that fits easily in my back pocket. In addition, the audio quality is amazing compared to other phones I've owned from Nokia and Samsung. Polyphonic ring tones means no more annoying cell phone alerts. Plus there's a speaker phone, voice dialing, and Palm synchronization works right out of the box with my mac via bluetooth. Free downloadable games and feature upgrades only sweeten the deal. A current software download adds audio capability to the built-in video recorder. Only two gripes: 1) volume control is on the front instead of on the side where it would be more convenient, and 2) the infrared port cannot be used to sync data on a Mac; it only works for using the phone as a modem (most likely a temporary problem until someone writes a freeware application to rectify the problem, and not a problem at all if you happen to have Bluetooth). Right now, infrared syncing only works on Windows via the included Nokia PC Suite software. If you want an all-in-one next-gen phone at a reasonable price, this one is pretty amazing. I just wanted to add that, despite other reviewers' reports to the contrary, this phone actually does record audio with video, regardless of whether you are a t*Mobile, or AT&T customer. If your phone does not come with this capabilty out of the box, you need to download the free Video Recorder software update, available on Nokia's website.

Review: Overall I love this phone. There are a few features I wish were designed differently, but they are not major. The digital camera takes decent pictures, especially outside during the day. Even takes good pictures in low light at night as long as you have a steady hand. Screen has great color and is very sharp. It is sometimes a little hard to see when in direct sun light, but is very easy to read in any other light. As far as call quality, it is very good. It seems to get great signal. My friend has the Motorola v70 with an external antenna and I usually get better signal than him. The speakerphone could be a little louder, but works well if you're close to the phone in a quiet room. I have used the infra red to send pictures and receive software updates from my laptop and it works great. Have not had a chance to use the Bluetooth yet. The video recorder works good, but I wish you could take longer clips than 10 seconds. It also takes about 20 seconds to save the clip, so you can't just keep on shooting since it takes so long for the phone to save the clip. The included 16MB MMC is plenty of space for me. You can take around 200 pictures on high quality with that card. Biggest problem I have is you have to send each picture one at a time via infra red, and not the whole image folder. You can upload all the pictures to T-Mobile's storage service on the net, but that uses up your internet usage. Overall, I love this phone and I think anyone who loves cool new electronics will love it too.
