Rating: Summary: Mac Compatible? Yes! Review: This is a great phone for using with Mac. I can transfer pictures and files via Bluetooth, or sync addresses via iSync (v1.1). Not to mention that T-Mobile coverplate matches the new PowerBook color. Other great features: there is a real player which you can use to get a few audio stream from the internet . Games for this phone have high quality graphics, and the center dial works very well as a joystick controller. About the camera: I would rate the quality as acceptable for open sunny places and as poor for indoors. However, it is really fun and easy to use. Ring Tones: I uploaded a midi file of my choice and it will play it as the ring tone! There is even a handsfree function and a voice dial feature.
Rating: Summary: Mac USers: It is now compatible! Review: This phone is loaded with features and since yesterday, is now compatible with macs. It's easy to use and worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: after the long wait.... Review: i've been waiting for this phone to get released here ever since i left the UK 2 years ago when it was just about to be released there. well, it's finally here, and actually i have yet to purchase it for two reasons - one - amazon doesn't 'do' cingular wireless (my current carrier) WHY?? - and two - the lack of bluetooth support from nokia for the mac OS's...i'm really responding to the review from the person who contacted nokia cust. service and spoke with someone. well, i went to the nokia website and kicked off. i have done this in the past and they've gotten back to me. basically, they need to know there are MAC users out there that will use it. and as a MAC finatic and a lover of nokia's there's no way i'm getting the cheap and nasty sony ericsson t68 (my husbands is already wrecked). so if you like this phone and have a MAC i suggest letting them know they should get their acts together.
Rating: Summary: Now Mac compatible... Review: As of 6/02/03, this phone is Mac compatible. Apple has released iSync 1.1, which provides Mac compatibility.
Rating: Summary: Good feature but bad reception Review: This phone has all the latest feature you think of. I am using it for last 2 months. Here are the CONS it has :1. Sometimes does not respond (Hangs ) , You need to reboot it to get it working 2. Ringtone sound is low(though it is Max) , you will miss lots of call. 3. Reception is not good , I feel Samsung's S105 has better reception than this phone. If you are loooking for all the feature go for it..Other wise do more research.
Rating: Summary: Some Doubts about Nokia 3650 Review: I am planning to buy this phone, but I don't know whther I can use it to connect my laptop to internet using America Online (AOL)? Can anybody send me details?
Rating: Summary: Is, in fact, compatible with Mac Review: While Nokia doesn't make Mac software for this phone, the truth (as with many other computer peripherals) is that Macs don't require any additional software to work with this phone. I have used Bluetooth and iSync to not only flawlessly sync this phone to Palm Desktop and iCal on my PowerBook, but have used the Bluetooth functionality to install several programs onto the phone, including one that added audio capability to the video recorder. Just because Nokia doesn't support Macs doesn't mean this phone won't work just fine on one. It does. I actually find syncing the phone to be far less cumbersome on my PowerBook than on my Toshiba laptop running Windows XP. I would recommend this phone to Mac users before Windows users.
Rating: Summary: Great phone, great sound and pictures too! Review: Nokia was the first company that made a device for people with hearing aids to be able to use cell phones. So I have always owned a Nokia phone. The 3650 is by far the best, and most advanced of any of their phones yet. The phone does everything, pictures, communications, e-mail, video recording, games, calendar, mega ring tones, and yet is fun to use. The new style keyboard takes a little getting used too, but after you do you find yourself playing with the phone quite a bit. If you like new technology, and lots of choices you will find this phone well worth the price. The only thing Nokia could improve upon is the feel. It's feel does not instill any confidence that it can withstand any type of accident. Not as solidly built as some of the phones they made in the past.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Easy to use. Love the sound clip. Nobody else has anything close that will touch this. EVERYONE raves at the design of it. Love the different dial pad. Easy to type text messages, too. Must have for any telephony-techno-geek.
Rating: Summary: Nokia 3650 ... A delightful surprise. Review: This is the first "top of the line" cell phone I have ever bought and am really thrilled by the product. All the cell phones I have owned so far have been by Nokia (8260, 8290) and you can call me a loyal Nokia customer. Now on to the review based on my tinkering with it for the past two days. Reception: The most important requirement in my book. The reception is very good compared to some of the smaller nokia models. Extremely impressed. Size: The previous unit I owned was probably the smallest phone ever manufactured (Nokia 8290), if you discount the one Ben Stiller uses in the movie Zoolander. I really liked that phone since I am a small person and I can slip it into my pocket without it feeling bulky. This phone is almost twice as large as the 8290, but not as big as some reviews have made it out to be. I am still getting used to the size, but for the features it packs, I can live with the slight bulkiness. Keys: The keypad is definitely weird, but I am already used to it. So I should stop complaining. Camera: I have never owned a camera phone before, and the in-built camera is pretty cool. The resolution is adequate. People have to realize that the primary function of the camera in this phone is to take silly pictures and email them to friends and family. If you are really looking to take high resolution pictures, wait a few more years or use your digital camera. I am sure this feature will change the way I use a cell phone. Isn't technology wonderful?? User Interface: I am used to the simple user interfaces of the 8290 and 8260. But this one phone packs a lot more features and so is a little more complicated, but is still a breeze. I like the level of customization that is possible (e.g., it allows you to specify two hotkeys for the most commonly used functionalities; unique ringtone for every contact in the list ) Memory: Approximately 3 Megs inbuilt and 16 megs memory card. That is pretty adequate for my intended usage of the phone. Email (t-zones): You need to sign up for T-zones (the basic ... version for 1MB/month or ... for 10MB/month) to access the internet features. T-mobile has a promotion right now with the ... plan (first month free and unlimited data transfer during the month). It was pretty straightforward to setup pop mail accounts. I setup three different pop accounts that i use in less than five minutes. The only trouble I had was that T-mobile does not explicitly state the SMTP server information and I had to dig around for this information. Nevertheless, the phone handles emails well. I only intend to use this phone for emails when I travel and do not have internet access available for my laptop and I think this phoen is adequate for that purpose. I think 1MB/month is not sufficient if I plan to check email occasionally and email pictures captured by the phone. But that is a T-mobile related issue and not specific to the Phone. Misc: Not crazy about the video recorder. The polyphonic ringtones are cool. I do not own a mac, so bluetooth is kind of useless to me at the moment. The color screen is adequate for all practical purposes. Compatibility of nokia chargers and earphones among various nokia models is a bonus as now I have three chargers from older phones and I have them at home, work, and my bag and a charger is always handy. Summary: This is the first feature-packed phone I have bought and I am pretty impressed. The only cons are the slight bulkiness and, it does look cheap. The inbuilt camera is pretty cool and the reception is awesome. I still have not tinkered with some of the features, but am very satisfied with what I have seen so far. Would give a 4.7/5.0
