Summary: Great Phone For The Price!
Review: I bought this phone for my daughter, and it was very inexpensive with a 2-year contract. Knowing that, we didn't expect it to do much more than her now year-old Kyocera does. I was so surprised to see all the great features it does have! Voice-activated dialing, color screen, very convenient small size, text-messaging capabilites, monthly scheduler/calendar with alerts, calculator, downloadable ringtones, screen savers, games, applications, and so much more! Around here, it does get fairly good reception, although there are times calls may sound quiet or a little fuzzy. This problem usually only lasts a few seconds at most, and we've never dropped a call. Probably the worst thing about this phone is its short battery life. Still, she uses the phone all day and just recharges at night while she's sleeping, and that seems to be fine. Overall, this phone is a great deal with a lot of special extras you can enjoy! Summary: Great Entry Level Phone
Review: I bought this phone in December '03 to replace an aging Sanyo phone that had Sprint service. For the price this phone is great, I wasn't interested in getting a phone with a camera because I have a digital camera that is normally with me that I would rather use that a low-quality mobile phone camera. The voice activation works great, there is absolutely no programming and it is built right into the phone there is no additional charges from Sprint to use it. Battery life is fairly good, especially since I work in an area that fades back and forth from digital to analog coverage. Overall, very easy to navigate and setup.

Summary: Great features but reception has problems
Review: I give this phone two and a half stars. I bought the Samsung 660 b/c I wanted a lightweight phone with no camera (I was told by the Best Buy guys that the camera takes up extra battery life even if you don't use it). I still wanted the Vision capabilities, however, so I could download my own ringers and screensavers. So, this phone seemed to match up with what I wanted, and in features alone it does.Another Amazon reviewer said that Sprint users have to pay extra for voice dialing--that is incorrect. You access the voice dialing by pressing the left blue button on the square keypad (next to the "OK" button). You can do voice dialing or numeral dialing. It's really cool. Also, I called Sprint about the downloaded ringtones "expiring" after 3 months, and the rep told me the ringtone only expires in your Download Inbox account. So if you download the song to your Download Inbox and then upload the song onto your phone within 3 months, the song is on the phone permanently. But I am really annoyed about my reception problems with this phone. My previous phone--a Sanyo 4900--was stolen, so I needed to get a new phone right away. I think I should've stuck with Sanyo b/c I never had the reception problems with Sanyo that I do with Samsung. Nearly every day a call gets dropped, normally when I'm in my apartment. But calls were never dropped in my apartment on my Sanyo! Also, sometimes people call me and their voices sound garbled, like they're under water. I have to move around to a different area in order for their voices to come in clear again or hang up and call the person back. Other times the caller's voice sounds "fuzzy" and I can't understand what the caller is saying. I wasn't able to find a Sanyo with the clamshell design I wanted *without* a built-in camera, so that's why I went with Samsung. But I think I should've considered the Sanyos more just to have decent reception. Oh well, in eighteen months Sprint told me I'll qualify for another rebate and can upgrade my phone. Sigh.

Summary: Runaway from this phone post haste!
Review: I got this phone because it (cheap)for a 2-year contract. Me being the cheapskate I am, I went for it. Now,I'm paying the price for it by having a phone that stops working in the middle of calls, puts an echo into everything I say (on both sides of the call), has TERRIBLE battery life, and has calls where the person I speak with can't hear me but I can hear them or vice versa. I should thank the people of Samsung for one thing though. They've taught me that you get what you pay for and from now on, I won't shortchange quality for the sake of a few extra bucks in my pocket. Sprint coverage in my area is great, but that means squat because of this dingy phone. I can't wait until my contract is up so I can get a new one. I'm already contemplating paying the termination fee just to get a new phone.

Summary: My phone
Review: I got this phone the beginning of March. I've been talking to Sprint about once a month or more trying to get problems fixed. The phone said I was in roam, and I wasn't. It doesn't always like to ring when people call me. I also do not get good signal. I think those problems are not because of this phone though. I think it is more a problem with the company because that is why I got a new phone, and I'm still having the problems. The only real problem I have with this specific phone is that the ringer is quiet. The other thing I don't like is that the games that come on the phone are demo games and only have level 1 then asks if you want to buy the whole version.

Review: I had this phone and had lots of problems... First time screen went blue/black, I went to sprint store and as phone wass in warranty period they changed my phone (SAME MODEL) It worked full two weeks then suddenly started dropping calls , if someone calls me it goes directly to my voice mail. SO AGAIN I went to pcs store and they told that that particular phone is not good and they changed my phone... This phone worked for 2 days and then it won't charge. Then this became my routine every morning or evening I visited sprint store.. They kept changing my phone and after 6-7 attempts they changed the model. (I guess because they didn't had any VI660 any more.)
Even someone pays me $ 100 for this phone I won't go for it. Just my experience.

Review: I have read all the negative reviews for this phone, i own this phone for the last 7 months and never had any problems, only drawback that i see with this phone is lack of external caller ID.

Summary: No outside caller-ID :-(
Review: I just got this last weekend and so far am pleased with it. Considering the area I live in it has exceptional reception. It has a lot of nice features, the only problem (as others have mentioned) is the lack of caller-ID on the outside of the phone. I set it so I can flip it open and press any key to answer instead of just flipping it open to answer it. Besides you can have different ringtones for different people in your phone book. I also found a site where I can send ringtones to it for free which is cool. The other problem along with the caller-ID thing is that it seems Sprint has a problem with a ticking sound during calls? I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this but my friend has Sprint and many times when she called me we could hear a ticking while we were talking, and now I hear it with this phone. It doesn't happen all the time but it's pretty frequent. But you can still carry on a conversation, it's only slightly annoying. 3 and a half stars.

Summary: Tiny little powerhouse
Review: I love this phone. It's very small and compact, and feels good in your hand. Using it might be a little difficult for people with big hands though. It has a lot of features and takes some time to get up to speed with everything. I actually had to read the manual! One thing I don't like is that the manual and all the descriptions of this phone say you can download photos to add to entries in your phone book. That's a little deceiving because you can't download just any photo, you can only use the generic photos they provide. Other than that, I like it very much.
