Overview Compatible with Cingular cell phone service, the Samsung P107 sports a rotating CIF 352 x 288 pixel digital camera, a WAP Internet browser, and plenty of phone and organizer features, all displayed on an easy to read, 128x160 pixel, 65K TFT color display. Calling Features Used simply as a phone, the P107 benefits from a 5-way scroll key for easy menu navigation and dialing. Primary calling features include external caller ID, ringer ID (groups only), vibrate mode, and picture caller ID which lets you attach a small picture to corresponding phone book contacts. The phone also plays 40-chord polyphonic tones and alerts. The P107 is TTY/TTD compatible for hearing- or speech-impaired users with select TTY devices. Messaging and Internet The advanced MMS capabilities built in to the P107 enable users to send, edit, forward, and receive image, text, audio, and video messages over the wireless Internet, to and from compatible phones or PCs. (Messages can run up to 50k in size.) You'll also get instant messaging capability, messaging templates, SMS two-way messaging, conventional email, and predictive text assistance. Beyond messaging, the P107's Internet connectivity lets you access online services such as stock quotes, road directions, airline information, entertainment, and more. Organizer Organizer features include an internal phone book calendar, to-do list, clock, alarm, and calculator with currency converter. You can beam this information from your phone to your PC via the phone's infrared capabilities. Fun and Games For fun, the P107 provides a built-in digital still camera that can rotate to face in or out. Picture resolution is a modest 352 x 288 pixels, but the camera does come with a self-timer and brightness control. There are also a "plethora" of animated wallpapers and ring tones built in to the phone, as well as the games X-fighter and Space War. Vital Statistics The Samsung P107 weighs 3.28 ounces and measures 3.5 x 1.89 x 0.89 inches. Its Lithium Ion batteries are rated at up to 5 hours digital talk time and up to 200 hours continuous digital standby. The phone supports English, French, and Spanish languages, and features an extendable antenna and headset jack.
