Rating: Summary: thanks for the tip Review: ...found the link to http://muwap.com here on amazon. Also found that they give you 10% off everything when you type in "amazon" as the coupon code. They have tons of tones for the Sanyo phones, and with the coupon it's only $9/year. Cheaper than mMode, and much better selection. Thanks, whomever posted this before!
Rating: Summary: GREAT PHONE- GREAT COLOR! Review: Everything about this phone is great! Tons of cool features, and the color is cool too. Just buy it, you'll love it!
Rating: Summary: Sanyo's 8200 a top performer -- even... Review: I buy new cellphones as soon as Sprint introduces them, if not before, and without regard to when I last bought cells. In short, I've gone through a lot of cellphones like an addict.
Sanyo's 8200 replaced Toshiba's most recent intro and is the hands down winner when it comes to photo quality and video.
The only thing wrong with the SprintPCS version of 8200 is its continued inability to link itself to Etrade for online investors, once commonplace.
But the 8200 can't be faulted. It's a clean winner over any cells out there at this time.
Rating: Summary: The picture taking is the best out but the ring tones are to Review: I had got the 8200 for my birthday. its a great phone and all such as taking great pictures having good service and looking real good. the only bad thing about this phone is if you buy it get a extended battary pack and by a covor case because it srach up easy. instead of that its a great phone the only reason i sold it because i went and bought the treo 600. Ps the ring tones are not as loud as they should be.
Rating: Summary: horrible ringtones, downloads bad, poor reception Review: i have had this phone since june. i thought it was sprint that was so awful in my house until i had friends visit from texas who had the samsung phone with sprint, and could talk on the phone for a half an hour in a spot in my house i could not even get a dial-out to go through.
the download ringtones are too quiet; set at the highest volume the sound quality is bad.
feature-wise, the volume settings are poor, as are the choices for the vibration/non vibration.
i think the software is okay, and the screen is good. the camera is a nice one, and it looks pretty good, although the phone i think is thicker than most.
i would stay away from this one, period.
Rating: Summary: Sanyo does it again with the PM-8200 Review: In late Dec 2003 I left my Samsung A460 and Sprint for ATT and the Samsung X426 because it was a free phone with color display and to save a little on my bill. What a mistake. If I had stuck out the 18 mos. waiting period (that started in Nov 2002), I could have had my 8200 sooner. Sanyo simply makes the finest cell phones in the industry. I've had the Motorola mpx220 and v551. The mpx220 was released to market too soon with problems too long to list. The v551
has a gorgeous screen but doesn't have the feature set of the Sanyo. Motorola's menus are difficult to navigate. Sanyo's menus are amongst the easiest to navigate, right there with Samsung and Nokia. True, the screen is a little below the Motorola in clarity but I could care less. Ultimately, sound quality is what matters most and that's what Sanyo excels in. If you want a picture phone, ultra easy intuitive navigation, LOUD speakerphone, and don't need video, I can't imagine what would be a better fit. I got the new deep forest green model and love the color! What are you waiting for? Buy this phone. You won't regret it. Are you still reading? GO!
Rating: Summary: Ringers Review: Like the product a lot. Think a phone for this much should have a few of it's own ring tones, though. So you don't have to pay for a different one.
Love the red color. Got a blue one for Hubby. The speaker is great. Love the voice dial, had it with last phone. Wouldn't have phone without it.
Rating: Summary: sandman Review: Love the phone. Easy to use, great reception. Durable, and tons of toys to keep me busy. Sprint also has some really really good plans right now to match it. Well worth the money compared to a lot of other phones I ALMOST got. None compare to this one. Picture quality is great, and tons of memory to hold and store pics. None really satisfied with the built in ringtones, but sprint gave a 10$ download credit for online downloads of ringtones, games, screensavers (even maxim and SI pics) which rounded out nicely the whole package.
Rating: Summary: A winning cell phone for Sprint PCS Review: The last PCS cell phone I owned was the venerable SCP-8100 from Sanyo. It was a cute little phone that was the second cell phone from any U.S. carrier that could take pictures. (The first-ever model was the SCP-5300 also from Sanyo, released in July 2002.) The PM-8200 addressed two shortcoming of the 8100: 1) camera quality, and 2) speakerphone. The 8200 sports a higher-resolution built-in camera. Picture quality is also improved. The old 8100's pictures often had streaks and distorted colors. The 8200's pictures look much better. The speakerphone is definitely a great addition for those of us who like to multi-task yet dislike headsets. The volume and clarity could be a little better, but given the compact size of this phone, it's not bad. Reception on the 8200 is great, thanks to its external antenna. Battery life is good, unless you save a lot of things in memory, which depletes battery faster the more stuff it holds. The phone is attractive and can be customized in many ways, not to mention it comes in three colors. To Sanyo, I suggest you use the iPod Mini color scheme, because not many people like big red! In summary, the 8200 delivers lots of improvements over the already-excellent 8100. If you have Sprint or plan to get Sprint, this is the phone. If you want video recording, check out the Toshiba phone for Sprint.
