Rating: Summary: All In One Not So Great in the Long Run Review: I bought this DVD/CD mega system at an electronics superstore less than a year ago. For the first several months it was AWESOME. I liked it because it did everything, and it was all wrapped up in one system. However, less than two months after I bought it, the store stopped carrying it, and wouldn't tell me why. Not surprising because about four months later, it started giving me problems. Average DVD's, which would be read just fine on any other player I could find, were said to be unreadable. I get this obnoxious message telling me "this type of disc cannot be played." I found that if I opened and closed the drive enough times, it would finally read and show the movie. Now, less than a year later, I have to buy another system if I want something reliable. Never again will I fall for something that sells itself as "all in one" because if one part goes wrong, you lose the whole system.

Rating: Summary: Buyer beware Review: If you purchase this product, I hope you are completely satisfied. It is my opinion that the reliability of Panasonic products has slipped in recent years, and this was confirmed to me when a product I purchased quickly failed. The reason I'm posting this is to warn you that the warranty that accompanies Panasonic products only has value if the company chooses to stand behind it. In my case, they weaseled out of it, leaving me with a total loss and no further recourse. Good luck with your decision.
Rating: Summary: horrid silver color & crappy "changer" capability Review: It's a great DVD player but does play not VCDs great & can't do CDR at all. This unit does not have a caruoselchanger so you need to put in your 5 discs at the same time to use the dvd changer or interupt playback of current disc to add more discs to the changer. Also very loud when changing discs.I bought this model "open box" if you have to pay full price I'd say don't buy it.

Rating: Summary: "Economic" has many meanings Review: Overall, this is a grat deal: a 5-disc DVD changer, a dobly-digital decoder AND speaker set, all rounded up under hi-end Panasonic label. This piece of hardware may not be suitable for you more serious home-cinema buffs, but the avearage consumer will by no means be disappointed by the lack of a subwoofer. One true complaint, thou, is the (usual) 500 lines of definition: it may not show on your standard TV set, but there's a noticable (and unfortunate) difference when compared to a 720-lines player on a Panasonic TAU os Sony WEGA set. It wouldn't hurt if Panasonic equipment supported recordable CD-Roms, either.
