Summary: No Speaker Phone??
Review: The phone looks cool and is light weight. I'm still getting a handle on all the features this offers. Amazon lists this phone has speaker phone feature but I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. The manual does not mention it at all. So, if you are particular about the speaker phone like me, wait until some one clarifies.

Review: THE BAD STUFF
I bought this phone a few days ago. I had problems with the pad buttons sticking and making the phone hang. I could not unlock the phone or restart it. I had to remove the battery and restart every time it froze. It got annoying!
So I called T-mobile customer care and was told that I will have to pay for shipping to replace the phone (I was in the 14 day trial period) or can receive a refurbished phone for free. The customer care representative also told me T-Mobile was being very generous by providing me with these two options. (Basically, I pay for a phone, it hangs a lot and I have to feel obligated to T-Mobile for all their generosity?) THE GOOD STUFF
Anyhow, the phone looks great looking and has some really cool features. I upgraded it from my Ericsson T300. I haven't used the Bluetooth or infrared features. It allows you to call by saying the person's name the camera is inbuilt (resolution not that great). Overall the phone is nice and I am keeping it in spite of the few problems I described above.

Summary: Don't Bother With This Phone - Zero Stars!
Review: I was in the market for a new cell phone, preferably with a new provider. After reading positive and negative reviews of this phone, I was finally swayed into purchasing this phone due to the hefty rebates offered at Amazon. After about 6 hours out of the box (four of those hours charging), the phone's operating system locked up, and the screen is now blacked out (probably permanently). The phone only responds with a pleasant chime as it starts up, but sadly, nothing else. I sincerely thought that some of the negative reviews for this product were from purchasers with gripes against the manufacturer or service provider. At worst, maybe these bad reviews were isolated incidents, and I could beat the odds. However, in the end, I must sadly concede and admit that this is a terrible product and should be avoided at all costs. Hopefully, Amazon will allow me to exchange this for a different model and manufacturer.

Summary: Personalized, easy to use.
Review: I had this phone for more than a week and explored almost all of its features except for voice command and text messaging. I think it is a good phone to have. Very personalized and simple to use once you are familiar with the features. I guess a lot of people are more interested in knowing the bad things before getting into the good ones. So I will start with the Cons. Cons •Poor alarm setting options. Although it has recurring alarms, T610 only allows you to set one alarm. If you want an alarm to go off at 7:20 and another one at 7:45, you will not be able to do that with T610. Go for Samsung phones if you need more alarm options.
•There's no key you can press that will bring you back to the default starting screen. When you finished adding contacts and you want to go back to the default starting screen, you will have to constantly press the "back" key and go one level at a time. I found that very annoying.
•Entering contacts information takes some time because the engineers designed some unnecessary steps in adding/modifying contacts. For example, when the "Home Phone" field is highlighted, you can not key in the number right away. You'll still have to click the "Add" key to bring up the next screen for entering information.
•Small number display. They could have made the numbers bigger when you are dialing or receiving a call. The numbers are hard to see when you are using your phone outdoors during day time. Pros •Good sound quality. I'm not talking about reception here. With full signal strength, T610 gives you a smoother and milder voice than my old Nokia 3560, which makes you feel like you are talking to a robot.
•Good display resolution.
•Nice personal settings such as wallpapers, themes and screensavers.
•Easy file transfer using Bluetooth or Infrared. I use my computers to download free ring tones, themes and pictures from the internet (www.myt610.net) and then use Infrared to transfer them to my T610. I was surprised to find how easy it is. Once the Infrared port is enabled in BIOS, the computer will automatically detect T610 within a certain range and pops up the file transfer dialogue window and you can start transferring. If you use T610 to download files from the Internet directly, you will have to pay $4.99 per month. (You might need to get some support for your computer for "enabling Infrared" if the Infrared port is not enabled by default.)
•Good "Shortcut" features.
•Good call management solutions. Call lists are integrated. You can view dialed numbers, received calls and missed calls all in one screen. The phone uses arrows in different shapes and colors to help you distinguish if it is a missed call or a received call. The highlighted number will toggle between phone number and call time automatically and save you several clicks.
•Easy to grab. I have dropped my Nokia 3560 numerous times. But the surface material and the inward-curving side panels of T610 makes it easy to grab. By the way, T-Mobile has good signal performance in St Louis area.

Summary: Stylish Sophisticated and Very Easy to Use
Review: I've owned this phone for about a year now before this I had had Motorola, Nokia and Sony Ericsson previous models, but this phone is the best of all. Phone has a very stylish design and many features that helps user to check new messages, SMS (text messages), use joystick for shortcuts and voice-dialing (!) - this feature beats all. Using voice-dialing user can setup up a contact plus 5 different ways to dial (home, cell phone, work, fax, other), and this is not all. Features like Calendar will help you to set up an appointment, schedule a phone call, add reminder and will ask you to change profile when this event starts like Meeting - transfer all you calls to another phone or your exam class - put on silent mode.
I would not recommend this phone to people who don't care for features at all and just need to dial a contact and two buttons Call and Cancel.
This phone does have one problem - screen is difficult to "read" on a very bright sun. Hopefully the next generation of these phones will "solve" this issue.
If you decide to buy this phone you will not be disappointed.

Review: Phone hungs and key pad locks some times.... Phone has more functionality but Sony ericson should invest some more money in Testing the phones.
Signal strength is also poor when compared to other phones.

Summary: Pretty good......not great!
Review: If you are looking for a really good phone, and don't care about the bells and the whistles, then I would say this is the phone for you. My cell phone is my life line to my business, so having a long battery life is one of if not the best feature of this phone.
The design is fabulous. It is very durable, but a little on the small and light side (I guess which is a plus). I have dropped this so many times, and it still works like I just got it yesterday. The key pad is easy to navigate without looking, as is the menu.
It is super easy retreiving missed calls, or calling back missed calls. Phone also offers name announcements, which you pre-record, as well as assigning special ring tones for different callers. Vibrate feature comes in handy.....it vibrates just enough that you can hear it without it disturbing or interfering what is going on around you at the office.
The minor faults of this phone if you really care about these features are: camera is absolutely horrible; buttons on the sides are badly placed....always found myself pressing one of them when picking up the phone...maybe they were just too sensitive; signal is not as good and receptive as others; and NO SPEAKERPHONE - just bluetooth so you can go out and spend more money on an annoying earpiece.
Overall, I must say it truly is a good phone. The only reason I am in the market for a new one is because my state has banned hand held cell phone use while driving, and I can't stand the ear pieces. If this phone had the speakerphone capability built in, I would stick with it and continue being happy.

Summary: liked but not anymore
Review: When I first got this phone about a year ago I was very excited. Like the other reviewers, PROS include long battery life, light weight, sleek design, and large screen. But CONS are also significant:
- Microphone has problem! Ppl always complain how they can hear the background noise soooo well. It's annoying. No privacy, feels like.
- Menu button (center one) too sensitive. I would push it to go to menu and it would go to Internet which costs money for my annoying At&t phone plan.
- Camera quality very bad. Blurry. Can hardly see what's in the pictures.
In general, I think this phone was very good 2 years ago, pretty good a year ago, and if now, NO need to buy it! Buy the improved ones!

Summary: I've had this phone for nearly two years!
Review: I've had this phone for nearly 2 years and I have good & bad things to say about it. I'll keep it simple:
Pros:
Excellent battery life- lasts at least three days even with heavy use & I still have the original battery
Attractive phone
Very user friendly - Make a call in only two button pushes
previous calls are very easy to access
picture caller id
organizer is helpful
Cons:
Camera Sucks
It I've gone through 3 of phone itself because of the spontainous
freezing problem that it has. The most current one I have had for a year with no more of that
It does scream in my ear every once in a while with a one second long painful noise for no apparent reason. It's just long enough for you to go "OW! What the #$%&?
The phone is too small
The buttons are tiny - my boyfriend hates it
Major annoyance: The microphone is overly sensitive.
For example: If I am going through papers on my desk while talking to someone, the paper noise will be loud enough to be very distracting to the other person. Background noise can be louder than your voice.
No real music ringers
Signal isn't nearly as good as my boyfriend's Nokia - We can be in the same exact spot and he will have 3 bars of service to my 1.
Overall I wouldn't reccomend it. If you want a phone with all the same features: Get the Nokia 3650. That is what my boyfriend has and he works in construction. The phone looks like it's been through hell and the only problem that he has ever had is tht it has a shorter battery life. Plus his takes video and has HiFi ringers!
