Summary: Very nice phone, especially for $99...
Review: ... but like someone else said, it's easy to get nickel-and-dimed by Sprint, especially for ringtones. I'm downloading my ringtones from http://muwap.com for $10/year instead of $1/ringtone, and have a different sound every week :) They just started giving amazon users 10% off with coupon code "amazon". Oh, and at first my phone could play the ringtones but not download them, but the guy who runs that site got the phone working in like an hour.

Summary: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE
Review: Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the Sanyo 8100 and this phone? I'm trying to figure out which one to get for Christmas. Please reply A.S.A.P. Thanks

Summary: This is one great phone
Review: I had been an ATT customer for years, but after the last few months of lousy service in my area I began shopping for a new provider. At first I was reluctant to switch from my beloved Motorola phones, but after using the Sanyo 5300 for a few weeks now I am very impressed with what Sanyo has done with this phone. I also have to qualify these next remarks because I understand that cell phone carriers vary in reliability throughout the country, but here in Central Iowa I have had better coverage with Sprint and this phone than with any other phone. I travel to lots of rural and remote areas in the state, and so far I have not lost a signal anywhere-even in areas that my old phone/carrier combination would drop.

Summary: GREAT PHONE
Review: I have had nothing but delight with phone. the integrated camera functions very well, the dual color screens are very clear bright. And even with extended camara, internet and video game use, the battery keeps on chugging. I have yet to have any problems and this is easily the best phone i have ever had.

Summary: Great phone, lousy accessories
Review: I've had this phone for about 6 months now. Has great features, decent built-in camera, and great battery life with the extended battery attatched. The only gripe I have with this phone is the accessories available aren't that great. I bought a carrying case directly from the spring store and the clamshell wouldn't stay shut when it was on it phone. I also purchased the cradle from the same store. It does NOT come included with the usb cable. (Which is just nuts considering it's price.) Also, when you stick the phone in it you have to push it in just right otherwise it doesn't 'catch' properly and it will not charge.

I've subsequently dropped my phone several times, scratching the
casing, because the carrying case wouldn't fit.

Summary: Great Phone
Review: Ive had this phone for 4 months now and dropped it atleast 5 times. Although there is a few scratches in the case from it, it still works perfectly. Internet is nice and fast. Huge step up from LG5350 phone. Although this new phone took a bit get used too compared to the LG. Its definatly way better. Battery life is also very good, it comes with 2 batteries (one extended one normal) with the extended one I was able to use the phone without a charge for almost 5 days!
Overall great phone. I'm 100% satisfied with it.

Summary: Price?
Review: Just wanted to inquire as to why the listed price on this phone is $299? It is listed with Sprint for $229?

Summary: Bad hinge
Review: The flip phone hinges froze up and then one side at a time broke the plastic case and came apart until it broke the display cable. Takes the special y driver to replace the case and I can't find a Cell Phone store to replace the case.
Also the data cable/charging port failed.

Summary: where is the beef?
Review: The phone WOULD be the ideal dream... ideal if it worked. I get horrid reception and phone cuts off half way through calls... and forget it working indoors anywhere! If that wasn't all.. the camera takes weak pics and the flash is of no use. I have tried to manually operate the camera for what the automatic selection lacks... either way i get pics that are too white or way too fuzzy. I've decided to return it for a cheaper model with less problems...

Summary: Is this phone being replaced?
Review: the sanyo 5300 has been around for a while. Is Sanyo going to be coming out with a new phone before Christmas? A salesperson at Best Buy told me the 5300 was discontinued.

Can anybody verify this?

Thanks
