Summary: One of the better phones offered from Nextel
Review: My Nokia 5190 with AT&T decided it wouldn't take a battery charge any longer. I decided to shop around, touch, sniff, tastte other carriers and phones. Which brings me to the i90c from Nextel... This phone is one of the smallest phones that Nextel has to offer. In the construction industry, 2-way radio communication via Nextel has almost become an industry standard. New laws are coming into affect, and the voice-activated dialing works great! Living in California, being a young 25 female, you'd want to look stylish. This phone has it all... small, light, blue back-lit screen, downloadable music tones, internet capable, 2-way direct connect features, and safe while you're driving. The only other feature that could make this phone better would be the color screen from the i95c. It's a trade off to have a smaller phone, but worth it. Just like any other new gadget, the screen navigation takes time to learn but it has become second nature.

Summary: Motorola i-90 cell phone
Review: GREAT phone. Has a multitude of different functions and is easy to program and use. We ordered both the i-90 and the i-95cl which has a colored screen that is a little easier to read.
Very good product by Motorola. Nextel service = exceptional!

Summary: Great features but awful implementation
Review: I really want to like this phone but honestly, I hate it. Our company has about 100 people using this phone and I think most of them hate it too. Why?

- its a brick pt I. Probably durable but its uncomfortable in your pocket. At 1.1 inches thick, you could beat someone with it.
- unintuitive interface. The phone has tons of features with lots of menus. Unfortunately, it feels like you have to slug through all of them to do anything. Saving a number takes way too many keystrokes. Figuring out how to change the ring took forever
- its a brick pt II. The phone is so big you need to wear it on your belt. And frankly, it looks dorky.
- poor battery life. My Nokia I used to charge every 3 days. The i90c I have to charge every day.
- sound/connection quality. While I do seem to get better than average quality with the Nextel service, I frequently need to dial calls twice to connect. I also get this strange echo pretty often as well.

I really want to like this phone. It has great features, a nice back lit display, a good color scheme and its web enabled. However, I just don't. Just about everything about it is slightly harder to use than it should be and manages to annoy me constantly.

Summary: Great Features; Poor Usability
Review: Other reviewers here have raved about the features - and I agree, this phone has terrific features. This phone has been my work cell phone, and although it does much more than my personal Nokia 6120, after 5 months I still cannot get used to the user interface. The interface is non-intuitive. Navigation of menus is cumbersome and requires far too many button-pushes to get to any one feature. Even with styles and customizing menus to my preferences, it still is too cumbersome. The voice-activated dialing is a nice feature - when it works. Vehicle noise seriously restricts this capability - the one place where it is most important. Finally, although the blue-lit display is nice, the display itself is set so deeply into the shell of the phone that any shadows from bright light (inside or out...) makes it nearly unreadable. I am very frustrated with this phone - I want to take advantage of the features, but the usability is just not good enough to make using the phone second nature.

Summary: THE BEST RECEPTION EVER!
Review: I JUST PURCHASED THE I90 ROXY SPECIAL EDITION THROUGH NEXTEL'S PREPAID SERVICE BOOSTMOBILE. I ALREADY HAVE A AT&T MOTOROLA T720 BUT I BARELY CAN USE IT BECAUSE OF POOR RECEPTION SO I DECIDED TO GET A 2ND PHONE SO THAT I CAN HAVE 2 PHONES SO I PURCHASED THE I90 TO USE WHEN I CANT GET ANY RECEPTION.. AND I MUST SAY THIS PHONE HAS THE BEST RECEPTION... IM NOT REALLY WORRIED ABOUT ALL THE EXTRA FEATURES I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO HOLD A DECENT CONVERSATION WITHOUT GETTING DROPPED CALLS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PHONE THAT HAS EXCELLENT RECEPTION THE I90 IS THE PHONE TO GET.

Summary: Great phone over all
Review: Both my wife and I have these phones and really like them. The only problem we have is trying to use the voice activation when the phone is closed -- the button is in an awkward place and can be tricky to do while driving and using the headset.

Summary: Okay Phone, Okay Service
Review: ...People in different areas, I'm sure will have different experiences...

I used to have Sprint PCS service and a Samsung phone, but had to switch since I couldn't get a signal in my house. ...

The Good:
Not much to really say - I'm trying to be as objective as possible... Despite it being a little bigger than other phones, it's got a nice look to it. The display is nice and bright - a bluish hue that even lights up the number pad.

The walkie talkie feature was pretty cool - for about a week.

The Okay:
I loved everything about the Samsung phone - it was small, had a long battery life (3+ days) and aside from not getting reception in my house, it was a great phone. This Motorola is okay, but there's a few things I dislike about it.

In some cases, it seems to be counterintuitive on the navigation buttons and even dialing 411 can be hit and miss. The battery life is not as long as my old phone: I'm lucky to get 2.5 days of straight stand by time. Further, the construction feels loose and cheap - almost a toy-ish feel.

When on calls, the sound is almost a throwback to the old cellular days, where there'd be apparent static and "echos" during conversations.

The Ugly:
The phone plans are ridiculously expensive. ...

Summary: i90c Review
Review: For the most part this is a great phone. However, the battery life on this phone is not great. The features are great to use, expecially the speaker quiality. Also, The auto dial is great to use while on the road.
