Summary: Great Phone! (although missing a few vitals)
Review: I have been using this phone for a little over 6 months, and so far, it has been proven a GREAT phone to me. Durable, lightweight, small enough to fit in my pocket, the battery life is amazing! Not to mention, the price is spectacular.

A few negatives are the fact that I am on the road constantly, and on my previous phones, I have used the voice dialing feature almost every time I make a phone call to either home, work, friend, etc. This phone does not have this feature. Another minor complaint is that this phone's voice memo is a lot shorter than many other phones, but then again, who uses the voice memo? Some of my friends complained about the non-existent IR (infrared) port, which I do not care much about.

The other small nagging thing is that the phone book takes about 2 - 3 minutes to load up once you turn your phone on, but since I keep my phone on 24/7, this does not prove to be too much of a hassle.

Moreover, this is a great phone. At this price, the color screen is a plus, as well as mentioned above, the durability and the battery life of this phone. I keep my phone on 24/7, while constantly using it, and I charge it every 2 - 3 days, and while on light use, every 3 - 4 days.

If you're not looking for a heavy-featured phone, this is the one for you.

Summary: an excellent phone
Review: I have used this phone (x105) about a year. I am very pleased with its quality and a long talk-time. The phone was amusing especially when I updated sounds and wallpapers with a data cable. Too bad, it is discontinued.

Summary: Nice Phone IF it would only connect!
Review: I liked the phone, other than it would NOT connect in a two block area where I work. It connected in other locations. I thought maybe it was a bad phone, but a co-worker had the exact same phone and same poor connections. The phone showed full signal strength, but when a call rang in, as soon as I pushed the button to connect, it did not work. Also, calling out did not work about 75% of the time and connections were barely audible in this two block area. T-mobile technicians checked out the area and found "no problem" in the area. Both phones from me and the co-worker went back and I got a sony ericsson T610 which connected with no problems. I thought maybe it was just a T-mobile problem, but others in my area can connect with other phones, same provider, no problem.

Summary: Cute & Handy
Review: I love the Samsung X 105 Phone. I am using it for the last one month. I love it. It is cute and handy. The blue color is lovely. The settings are easy and user friendly. It is a nice phone and liked by my wife too.

Summary: Does exactly what is supposed to do
Review: I made a mistake initally bu buying a Sony/Ericcson T616 from AT&T, it was returned 2 days later due to horrible reception in NYC. I bought the X105 from T-Mobile and have no complaints. No dropped calls, clear reception in buildings. The phone is feather light, has great battery time and does what a phone is supposed to do-MAKE CALLS!. My only complaint is that when the keypad is locked, it is sometimes difficult to unlock as the screen is almost completely dimmed.

Summary: Great small phone!
Review: I needed a small tiny phone that is easy to carry around and this fits my requirements just right!

The reception is also wonderful and several times better than my older phone. I used to have a TMobile Sidekick and that was just a huge brick. Furthermore, reception on that brick was typically horrible.

The screen on this tiny phone is big and marvelous. I really like the fact that each function page has an animated graphics.

And since I will be using this phone oversea, I will also be able to use it while traveling. With TMobile's flexibility to unlock the phone so I could use other SIM, this is really a great feature.

The only negatives that I have, which lead to the 4-star only rating, is that the battery life is just a little less than advertised. Also there's no profile feature like the Nokia phones.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this phone.

Summary: Constant Change
Review: I recently had a NOKIA 6610 and couldn't find a replacement handsfree earpiece as NOKIA had decided to change to some proprietary earpiece connection. So, I dumped that phone and got the Samsung X105 since it said it used the 2.5 headset connection. Well, it seems that Samsung has decided to mess with their connection as well because the 2.5 plug is a Samsung proprietary plug. Can't these phone manufacturers just leave this stuff alone so we can buy a decent aftermarked replacement?
I guess not. Other than that...I think the phone is just okay.

Summary: Games: Caution
Review: I was relaxing in the restroom this morning in one of the stalls and remembered that I had my new cell phone (X105) and it had games on it. I had previously turned the sound off so I thought I could play a stealth round of Ultimate Golf Challenge in the stall before returning to my desk. When I pushed the button to start the game, the theme song started playing really loud, for all of my co-workers using the facilities to hear. I guess the songs to the games play even when the sound is turned off for the phone keypad. So before you buy a new Samsung cell phone, be forewarned that your ability to play the games may be limited.

Summary: Great at night
Review: I've had the phone for about 3 months now. It's exceedingly well built. The battery life is very good. The phone is put together like a German sedan. The voice volume is great and easily adjustable while one is talking. I do get a low-volume hiss in the background of all calls when connected. I didn't have this with my other phone on the same plan. I agree with the other reviewers about the long delay when going through the menu. The keypad is small and the keys are close together so you have to be careful when dialing. I don't text message much but this could be a problem with large hands.
The screen is colorful if you are into that sort of thing but the trade-off is that if you are outside in the sun, the screen is impossible to read. My last phone was black and white and that could easily be read outside in the full sun. Why would anyone want a color screen if you can't read it outdoors? Who cares about seeing some tropical fish floating across the screen if you can't even read a phone number? Unfortunately it seems like the engineers are designing phones for teenagers. Another extremely irritating feature is the ring tones. There are no normal ring tones (beeps, rings, etc.). The only choices are songs. I don't want a song. I was told that I could download a different ring tone for a couple of bucks from the web site but guess what, although I could get all the Brittany and 50 Cent songs I want, there are no rings on line either. This must be some sort of joke that T-Mobile and Samsung are playing on us. It's embarrassing to have a phone play the "Cat Rumba" in a work environment.

Summary: Eh, it's okay.
Review: I've had this phone for about 5 months now. Compared to my other phones, this one ranks slightly behind (the last one I owned was the Nokia 3390). Here are the thinks I love:
1) I like that this phone has colorful wallpapers and graphics.
2) Good battery life. I only charge it every 3-4 days.
3) The service light is a nice feature too. It blinks in a different to let you know you have a voicemail or text message.
4) Great reception.

However, there are a quite a few things I am unhappy about with the phone:
1) It's slooooow. T-zones take forever to access. Text messages take a while to delete.
2) Polyphonic ring tones sound cute but often blend in with background noise (I miss twice as many calls with this phone than with my last).
3) Vibration feature is so weak, I rarely feel it (this contributes to missed calls as well).
4) Simple tasks can be a hassle sometimes. A) The process for making a call should be this: phonebook, scroll to name, call-- not phonebook, scroll, view phone number, then call. I know it's one more step, but its one more step that's dispensable. B) Assigning ring tones to individuals-- you have to go through a needless process just to have the t-jingle ring when Billy Bob calls.

All in all, it's a decent phone but I don't plan on keeping it for long. I'm definitely keeping my eyes open for a better one.
