Summary: I had this phone for 2 years and loved it!
Review: This phone is a little clunky, but wonderful! The symbian operating system makes this phone infinitely expandable. Some of the programs you can download and install include: eBook readers (to download and read books from the New York Public Library, for instance), remote control software (to control your TV through infrared or your computer through bluetooth), game emulators (I had hours of fun playing games with a game boy emulator).

The operating system supports multitasking, so you can switch back between a phone call and an ebook without ever quitting either program... so you can turn the speakerphone on, and play a game while you're on hold. I grew to like the circular orientation of the number pad... while confusing at first, it made sense after a while.

Also, since the phone's PIM synced up with my Mac (via iSync), I never had to type a phone number or email address into the phone, which made for speedy usage.

The more advanced nature of the phone's operating system makes it prones to crashing. If a program isn't coded correctly or it crashes, this phone is prone to go into a "reboot loop", where the phone can't start anymore, and the only remedy is to take it back to T-Mobile or Nokia through the warranty. Meaning, if a program crashes your phone (which happened 3 times over 2 years to me), you have to get the phone replaced. Not good. So make sure you have a carrier with EXCELLENT customer service (like T-Mobile, as opposed to Cingular or Sprint).

Overall, I loved the phone, and the benefits far outweighed the costs.

Summary: Bluetooth works great
Review: I have had this phone for almost a year now. It is one very dependable phone. Just got the chance to use it's Bluetooth capabilites. Paired it up with an IBM laptop with Bluetooth to use as a modem when WiFi is not available. The Bluetooth works great! I use it with T-Mobile and took it with me to Europe on vacation. Worked great!

Summary: had for over 2 years
Review: I got this phone (Nokia 3650) two years ago. And it's the best phone I've ever had. With other cheap free phones I felt the need to upgrade every 6 months. Not with this phone. It has everything.

It is about the size of my hand, and it is easy to find in your purse. I take pictures everyday, and then email them to myself and print on photo paper. The quality of the pictures are good! When the pictures pop up on my computer screen they are not tiny, they take up at least half the screen. Super easy to send pictures to anyone- the phone emails straight to anyone's email address, or send to another camera phone. My dad and I email picutes and videos back and forth all the time, it's a great way to stay in touch. In your contacts folder, people can have more than one number (home, mobile, office, fax, etc.). I know my old phone's contacts were a mile long because of all the entries (Mom Hom, Mom Cell, Mom Work, you get the picture). The curved dialing pad is not that hard to use, I enjoy it. Older people who are used to 4x3 dialing are just stuck in a rut and don't want to adjust to anything new. They keypad is very easy to get used to. Other great things - good ringtones, you can make pictures your background, you can attach pictures to contacts so when someone is calling their face pops up, lots of games to download, lots of features to tweak (colors, graphics), the text messaging is SUPER, and the GPRS, let's talk about that!

I used the GPRS/internet feature all the time! I check my email, check movie times, get directions, play internet games, get the weather, all with just a push of the button (after you set it up, easily done at T-Mobile.com.

I don't reccommend buying this on Amazon.com. I just wrote this review because I know that myself and others come here just for reviews, not to purchase. The best thing to do is buy straight from T-Mobile at one of their stores (not a cart at the mall, or a cell phone store) or at tmobile.com. Then when you call customer service for anything you know you are covered. I have been with TMobile for about 8 years. Yes, back when they were Voice Stream, yes back when they were Aerial. Customer service is always excellent, never had a problem. Great prices for service - we have 3 phones on one plan and all share minutes- all for about $90 a month. Never had a dropped call, hardly EVER lose my signal (I live in Dallas-Fort Worth area and Kansas City area). This is the 1st cell phone I have every purchased, all the others TMobile has given me for free. Hell, if you can't afford this phone, go to one of their stores and get a cute free one, they have about 4 to choose from.

All in all, T-Mobile is fantastic, this phone is fantastic.

Summary: Not dissapointed
Review: After reading scores of reviews and comparing this phone to others I finally decided to go with it and have not been disappointed. I had a hard time because I really wanted the small size of a flip phone with the features of this phone. There was nothing in my price range that fit so I sacrificed the flip feature. It has fallen several times and each time the cover has popped off and the keypad has flown out. It freaked me out the first few times, but the phone has never "broken". It makes me wonder if it is designed to take the impact that way saving the interior workings from damage...? I've only once in a whole year had a problem with dropped calls. It has a great signal and the volume on the ringer (at the highest level) is just right for me. I love it that you can have a different ring for each contact. It saves me time running for the phone if I hear a familiar ring. I always know who I need to call back without even looking it up. The vibrate feature works great. I can usually even hear it vibrate if it is near me! My husband has a T610 and at first I really preffered his phone for the size (fit in the pocket size), but mine fits in my purse pocket perfectly so I have no need to complain. I prefer the way his menus are set up, but mine were definitely more user friendly (easy to use right out of the box). His just lets you do a little more. I used my camera on a cross country trip (our real camera was broken) and got some nice tiny pics that otherwise would not have been taken. All in all I'm happy with everything. Just wish it was a flip phone (personal preference).

Summary: Be the envy of your friends!
Review: I've had this phone for about one year, haven't had a single problem with it. It take pictures at almost 1/2 of a megapixel, 800x600, and although the video isn't as good, the fact that it has video at all is awesome. It can also hold MP3 and WAV files (and use them as ringtones), and with a few free programs, you can put a .swf file on it too!
It looks like it might be uncomfortably big, but it's not. I just barely feel it in my pocket. I have never had it run out of batteries, and I keep it on at all times. The only slight problem is that sometimes it pushes random buttons while in my pocket, but not that much.

Summary: Don't waste your money or your time!
Review: I purchased this phone as a upgrade when I had been with the world's best wireless provider (T-Mobile) for a year (YAY ME!). Initially I was so in love with the phone itself since the phone I had before it was a dinosaur to me- the Samsung R225. A few weeks after I purchased it, the initial infactuation wore off and it was a regular, old, fat phone which is actually one of the first things people delight in telling me when they see it! "WOW! What a HUGE phone!" "I've never seen a phone that big!" "It looks like a remote!". While I do hate attention it brings, I sometimes secretly enjoy the perks of this phone-like the camera (both reg. and video), high-quality color screen, the real one player, as well as its uniqueness (is that a word?). There are a lot of cool tricked out things to do with the phone as well, as far as faceplates, flashing what-nots, etc. but who would want to bring attention to this phone. I am currently showcasing this "UCO- Unidentified Cellular Object" in a delightful magenta faceplate that allows it to play nice and fit in well with the other phones on the playground. A word to the wise: Don't get sucked in by it's witty features and convinience- be prepared to deal with the unending taunts, compliments, questions, and awkward stares of those who want to know more but are afraid that your monster of a phone will bite their head off mid-sentence! For those of you who choose to purchase this delightful piece of machinery-make sure you make your decision to return it within the 14 day trial period!

Summary: like a mini computer in your pocket
Review: The best aspect of the Nokia 3650 is also in some ways it's worst aspect: it's so laden with cool features that it is slightly oversized in your pocket. But putting up with the extra girth is worth it because of what you get in return. The phone has an oversized display that's huge and bright even in sunlight. The reception is almost FM radio quality. I have had this phone for over a year and have never dropped a call. The VGA 640x480 camera takes pictures of surprising quality in different settings. I upgraded the 16MB storage card to a 128MB (~$40) which is more than I'll ever need. Bluetooth is not going to break any speed records, but it's handy to connect wirelessly with my PC with only a few clicks (and an BT adapter!). This phone might be overkill for the casual cell user, but it has everything that today's discerning and demanding wireless customer could want. As mentioned, my only complaint is that it is slightly ovesized when compared to the average phone. Otherwise highly recommended. There is also an upgraded model available: Nokia 3660 with traditional keypad and a more colorful 65k display.
