Rating: Summary: I LOVE MY NOKIA 6610!!! Review: I have owned many phones...especially under T-Mobile/Voicestream services. Before I purchased the 6610, I would swear the best two phones I had ever owned were the Samsung Q105 (for reception) and the both the Ericsson T68i and T300 (features). To be honest, the Nokia offers reception comparable to the Q105, and features comparable to the two Ericssons. It does not have bluetooth as the T68i does, but it makes up for it with a better color screen, radio, better reception, faster interface, polyphonic sounds, and downloadable games. The T300 offers java downloadable games and polyphonics sounds too, but the sound quality is poor. Take it from me, this phone is worth the buy.
Rating: Summary: WOW, great lil phone. Review: Okay, this phone is nice, its small for a nonflip, the buttons are nice, the color screen is nice, reception is GREAT, it may be a internal attenna, but OMG its reception so so clearokay the menu system is good, this phone may not have a joystick but the 4 way dpad is good enough because nokia's menu system on this 40's series firmware platform is great. Its smooth its not clunky. I just got it last week, alot of girls are saying its cute LOL. thats cool with me. The fm radio is a nice feature 2, and when its played over the loudspeaker, u get alot of attention, the best part is how it mutes when u get a incoming call and unmutes when u end the conversation, or the radio stays on when u are doing other stuff like browsing the web, it allows u to get into a flow. oh online searches may make it seem like alot of customization accessories are not out there. Ebay has plenty, because at first i was mad alot of websites were online listing the nokia 7210(same phone, but a more radical button layout) but all cases holster, n stuff like that fits the phone. u can even use a 7210 face plate on the phone but not on the Face, just the back, u would do this because the back of the 7210 has a cool lil design and is not blank like the 6610, but just get a 6610 front and mix and u have a nice lil custom setup. the 7210 may have a more radical design, but dont worry, the 6610 is seriously sleek. My only real complaint is that with the current firm ware 4.74 it does not support picture caller i.d.(u know when your friends face pops up on screen when they call) but the rumor says nokia's firmware v 5.0 will support this, i hope.
Rating: Summary: What an awesome phone! Review: I've been using my new 6610 for about a week and I'm really impressed with the features they've packed into this phone. Granted, this is the first non-bargain basement phone I've ever had in the ten years I've had wireless service. I've always gone with whatever the local wireless store would give me for free. The size is just right, fits in my jeans pocket quite nicely and the battery life is the best I've ever seen. I can easily go three days with normal use before requiring a recharge. Reception with T-Mo in my area has been outstanding, and we travel quite a bit outside the T-Mo GSM network.
Rating: Summary: Some clarification of yangoon's review Review: I agree with yangoon's review EXCEPT: 1. Each person can have multiple number per entry on the PHONE only. For example, under Bob Smith, yuo can have his cell, his home number, his office, etc. If you save it on the SIM, then each person can only have 1 number. 2. The multiple confirmation for WAP is not necessary if you press the green "call" button under the left button instead. It is sort of a confirm shortcut.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: T-Mobile US Network. Extremely happy with this phone. I've had it for just three days, and so far so good. The phone is lightweight, small, excellent high-res color screen, great ringtone quality, etc. The keypad is great, no accidentally hitting "7" when trying to dial "8", etc. The signal quality is the best I've ever had. Extremely easy and innovative menu options while in a call, very easy to switch and do many things (send messages, etc) while on the phone. The "Loud Speaker" or speakerphone is good quality, and overall a pleasure to use. Never have experienced a dropped call, very reliable. Efficient instant connections to call, no "connecting" for 4 min non-sense with other phones. Great battery life, goes a few days without charging. When it's time to charge, it's very fast to fully re-charge. And easily beams with my Palm Zire 71. No problems. Now the bad. The phone book creates a new entry for every #, instead of just creating one entry with a few phone numbers. This is minor, but important for some, no Caller ID pictures/ring tones (Where a special ring/image shows up, depending on who's calling). No bluetooth, dissapointed, as I loved that option. Speaking of which, taking the back cover is so tough, you have to carefully pull it up, due to those center clamps that hold it down, otherwise you could crack your back cover. Which is a thin plastic. While using T-Zones, very annoying it confirms everyone option. Example, when I click "Club T-Zones" instead of just taking me there, it takes me to a menu that confirms I wish to open this link. Very slow and annoying. Also presing menu is very annoying!! I've gotten used to it, but it has 13 options and you have to scroll through each one. Instead of just having a simple list of options (i.e. Messages, Settings, Gallery, etc) with small icons, they have huge icons that take up the entire screen, and thus you must scroll up and down to navigate. I find this annoying, but this great and beautiful phone makes up for that. The phone has tough power on/off button and volume button on the left. The power button, has to be pressed with a finger nail or something, my finger while small, never can get in. The volume option is medium, you've got to press it so hard, makes me feel the phone will crack in my hand. Ultimately, all these are minor for me. I'm used to it, I love the phone. In my day, I've had T68i, T300, T722i, 3650, and V120c. This has been the best phone ever! Pros: -Excellent High-res color screen (Bright and Rich) -Great ringtone quality -Perfect Keypad -Numerous accessories from Nokia, faceplates, etc. -Lightweight and small -Speakerphone among the best out there -Exceptional Signal Strenght -Visually beautiful design -Amazing battery life -Super-fast re-charge, within an hour or so. -Easily beams to my Palm Zire 71 (photo's) -Unlike most phones, 6610's keylock, doesn't unlock itself. -Two cool games -Radio is good quality. -Very quick and efficient dialing. Instant connection. -No dropped calls. Cons: -Dissapointing Wallpapers included. -Tiny Power On/Off Button -Hard to press Volume Options -Lack of Bluetooth -No Caller ID Rings/Images -Multiple phone book entries for friend that has two or more numbers. -Confirms x2 anytime you're using WAP Services.
Rating: Summary: Reasonable for the features ... Review: This phone definetly has the features you would want: radio, speakerphone, organizer (to do lists, calendar), internet access (although no way to enter an address yourself but has many options to assist you). This phone has an optional camera attachment headphone you can purchase if you really want to add to it. The only con I have found with this phone is minor. In the manual it says by touching the built in antenna in the back of the phone (clear part that says "Nokia"), it may interfere in calls; it says not to touch it...... Well, hello! It's hard not to. Although I haven't had any calls interfered with when it's been touched, it makes you wander why Tmobile would put that.
Rating: Summary: The phone I was looking for ! Review: Took me a long time to find a phone with so many features and so small. I really like it; display is good but not perfect, size is perfect, functions are easy and it sounds good too. Two missing features (low priority in my list): Voice recording (memo) and 911-GPS information. Note that you can take pictures with the headset/camera accessory. ...
Rating: Summary: Nokia 6610 Review: This phone is excellent. I previously had the Samsung S105. While the S105 is a very good phone, I feel that the 6610 is better. The screen is not as big as on the S105, but it is easier to read, especially in direct light, it does not wash out in sun light; the screen can use an outside light source (trans-reflective?). It would seem to have a considerably faster processor than the S105; Java games graphics look a lot smoother when in motion, like with a racing game. Java apps also load faster. The polyphonic ring tones that come with it are lame, as are the backgrounds. Unlike the S105, the 6610 does have several "normal" monophonic ring tones. Radio works well, but I would have preferred a mini jack so that I could choose what headphones to use. The menus are easy to navigate. This is my first Nokia, but they seem similar to the other Nokias I've used with dual soft keys. The speaker phone also works well, but it could be a little louder. It is full-duplex. The organizer functions are more useful that on the S105. It is possible to beam data between PocketPCs and Palms. The 6610 feels reasonably well built, but the changeable front and back faceplates flex some. The S105 feels more "solid". I have dropped the 6610 though (onto a concrete floor) and there were only a few minor scrapes. It gets really, really, good signal strength, as much as 2x what my S105 got. The signal strength indicator is for real, there are no fake signal readings. The GPRS is considerably faster than the S105 as well. The size is great, it's small and light but if you don't like small phones don't get the 6610; it's slightly taller that the T68i, but it's thinner and not as wide. The screen is larger, higher resolution, and supports more colors than the T68i. The battery life is very good for a phone of this size with a color screen. It charges fast too. Pros: 1) Great screen 2) Great feature set 3) Great signal pulling power 4) Nice size Cons: 1) Needs more volume on speaker phone 2) Needs more memory
Rating: Summary: Superb phone! Review: It has decent color screen, speakerphone mode, small size, removable faceplates, polyphonic tunes and easy to use menus. The reception in on par with phones having external antenna and sounds very good. Triband GSM, good battery life, classic looks, low price and huge availability of Nokia accessories make this a sure best seller. It isn't too small or too big and the keypad is easy to use. Atleast this model doesn't have a weird keypad found on dozen's of Nokia clones released this yr. Has all the extra features you expect from Nokia phones like MMS, Java downloads, calendar, alarm clock, FM radio, GPRS etc. Missing the camera and Symbian OS of 3650 but its more pocketable & traditional looking cell phone. Its a shame that Nokia didn't include BT on this phone, even though BT is very affordable now. Also the casing for the phone is a bit creaky and plasticky, unlike SE T68i, T610 etc. Beats all the expensive Motorola's hands down. Moto's don't have any features, not even a true alarm clock or T9 input for SMS. Not to mention bulky, ugly and fragile external antenna on Moto's and Samsung's. Not many rival this classic looking triband GSM phone for free!
Rating: Summary: mixed Review: This product is excellent but unfortuantely i am having a defective piece and amazon doesnt have any more in stock for replacemnt and I want to settle only for 6610.
