Summary: Best Phone Out There...A+
Review: Not only is this the best phone out there but is cheap (FREE!!). First let me say that it is much smaller than it looks on the web and it also looks better. The radio feature has superb sound quality. I've compared this phone to others such as 6100, siemens sl55. Even though they might be smaller many people seem to have alot of problems with them. It has a classic design yet looks hip. Is a lot better compared to the toy phone design of the Nokia 7210 with its cheap feel. It is extremely light and dissapears in your pocket. For those that are looking for camera phones just get the camera attachement and comes with the stereo headphones to listen to the radio in style. The battery is alot better than most of the phones out there. One thing that I found out recently is that you don't need T-Zones from Tmobile to go online. Every T-mobile plan comes with GSM data, meaning that instead of speeds of 56 Kbps is around 9 Kbps (With those small size WAP websites do you really think it makes a difference). Anyways there are ways to set up your 6610 to connect to CSD which uses regular minutes and you are surfing the net, being able to download pics and ringtones (not java apps, you need t-zones for that). Tmobiles might not have the best reception in some areas but with amazing phones such as Nokia 6610 and cheap plans that you get way more minutes than any other plans. If you thought about getting this phone buy it. This Phone is great as a whole and is not like others with one or two good qualities.

Summary: Cool Phone!
Review: Like some other reviewers, I recieved this phone using T-Mobiles upgrade program. I had been comparing the 3650, 3560 and the 3595 but couldn't settle...then along came the 6610, which was perfect for me.
Pros: Small size. I love the fact I can carry it in my shirt or pants pocket and forget about it. Just make sure the keys are locked. Color screen is good. It has lots of features such as the calendar which works like my Outlook calendar. The keys are laid out normal so there is no guessing. Navigating through the menus is super easy, especially if you have owned a previous model Nokia phone. Battery life is very good, I use it every day and I have to charge it every 5 or 6 days or so.
Cons: Not many. The volume key can be hard to press, but I think this may be by design rather than a flaw, perhaps to keep you from pressing it accidentally when you are in a call. PC cable is to expensive...$50 for a USB cable? Please! Is this how Nokia subsidizes their free PC software?

Summary: Great Little Phone
Review: I have T-Mobile Service and Got this phone to use at work since they banned Camera Phones (Have the V300 Camera phone and love it too, still waiting for the unlock codes) The first thing I did when I got the phone is get it unlocked so when I go overseas I don't have to pay International roaming. Reception and Voice Quality are great. Size is also good as I prefer smaller phones. I would recommend this phone to anyone. Just know that the screen can be hard to see in bright sunlight.

Summary: Excellent Phone!
Review: It's been only a few days since I got my Nokia 6610 from Nokia and I love it already. It's love at first sight. The things I love about this phone is as follows:

1. A perfect price for a perfect phone - After all the rebates from amazon.com, you'll end up earning $... for this phone. I would not hesitate to buy this phone even if I had to pay $... for it.
2. Excellent battery life - I've been playing around with many of it's features for 2 days and the battery indicator isn't even moving!
3. Good Color Screen - While I know that more expensive phones have screens to envy about, the 6610's screen is good enough. It's big and bright. I just love color!
4. Intuitive Menus - I barely read the manual and I've operated the phone's advanced features with ease.
5. Radio - A big bonus. Good sound quality. I just love it.
6. Phone Book - the combined SIM and internal memory is large enough. Plus, you could store multiple numbers (i.e. office, home, cell) for a single person.
7. Form Factor - the pictures do the phone injustice. It's a VERY SMALL PHONE. And I just can't believe how they were able to pack so much features into this small phone.
8. Good PHONE - calls sound clear
9. Polyphonic Sound - It's amazing how the ring sounds when you select a polyphonic ringing tone. Even your SMS alerts can be polyphonic.

I just love this phone! But I guess I have to tell you about my gripes to make this review complete. I really can't find much to complain about. In fact, I only have I gripe:
1. Few games - there are only 2 games included in this phone. But I guess, one could easily download more.

Summary: Great value for the price
Review: I recommend Nokia 6610 if you want a cost-effective Java-enabled phone. It is one of the lightest and most pocketable phones in the US market. All its eye-candy features aside, the 6610 is still a great "phone" with receptable battery life and signal strength, and good sound quality. It is a great value for the price.

Pro:
- Extremely light and pocketable, with internal antenna
- Fantastic battery life and good reception
- Included speakerphone and radio
- 700KB to store pictures, MIDI audio, and J2ME games and applications
- Powerful Nokia phonebook

Con:
- Candybar leaves screen and keys exposed
- Plastic feel of silver cover
- No business ringtones

Amazon does not have a full review yet so here is my detailed critique. I have compared the phone with Samsung N105, S105, Ericsson A1228di and Motorola T720i.

FORM FACTOR: (4/5)
Nokia 6610 sports the same slim size and profile as the Samsung N105, and weighs even lighter at less than 3oz, making it one of the most pocketable phones on the market. 6610 even beats other slim phones with its internal antenna. However, like most other Nokias, the 6610 is a "candybar" that leaves the keys and the color screen exposed at all times. (You have the option of locking the keys.) I would give the form 5/5 if it were not for the cheap-plastic feeling of the removable cover.

SCREEN: (3/5)
Nokia 6610 is a 4096 color screen, as opposed to the 65,000 colors on the Samsung S105. However still, the colors are bright and vibrant. (You can tinker with brightness color for personal preference.) Using the key-lock function in the dark is a catch-22: The screen light does not turn on until you press the unlock combination. But in the dark, it is hard to press the unlock combination without screen light!

AUDIO FEATURES: (4/5)
The volume and sound quality for the phone is respectable for all modes: i.e. handset, headset, and speakerphone (not as loud as my antique Ericsson A1228di). The phone also sports a radio that can be played over the headset or the speakerphone. Note however that the headset accessory (included with T-mobile) must be connected to the phone even if you want to play the radio over the speakerphone. The ringtones (MIDI) are casual, and not for business use. But then again, I always keep the ringer on vibrate-only (Pager Profile). My major nuisance with this phone is that I have to use a "pop-port" compatible headset rather than the standard 3.5mm. Samsung's included 3.5mm headphones are of far better quality, and are much more discrete, than the bulky Nokia headsets.

BATTERY LIFE AND SIGNAL STRENGTH: (5/5)
One word: incredible. The phone is running days on end without a recharge, surpassing my N105. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Following the manual's initial charging instructions for best results. Many people complain about bad battery life simply because they do not 'optimize' the battery as per manufacturer instructions.

The reception in Auburn AL is remarkable; compares well with the N105. I haven't tested it from inside brick walls yet though.

PHONEBOOK AND TYPING: (5/5)
Nokia 6610 sports a powerful phonebook that leaves Samsung's in the dust. Making full use of the SIM and the phone memory, the phone can store cellphone, home, business phones for each individual, as well as their email address, web address and quick notes. Moreover, you can search "on-the-fly" in the phonebook by pressing letter-keys. T9 typing for me is as comfortable as it is on the N105, although people with bigger than average hands may have trouble.

MESSAGING AND COMMUNICATION: (?/5)
The phone can handle SMS, MMS, and Emails. You can send your "business card" to other phones using SMS or infrared. (I have tried SMS.) You can supposedly sync with your PC using either infrared or cable, but I have not attempted it yet. There is no bluetooth. For programmers: you cannot access the infrared using API like you can on Siemens phones.

INTERNET: (4/5)
Nokia 6610 is a GPRS capable phone that includes a Nokia WAP browser, which is slightly different from Openwave browsers found on most other phones. It is less user-friendly, but more powerful once you get the hang of it. The browser cannot display XHTML pages, although I am looking for a J2ME application to do that. The download speed in Auburn AL is not as fast as I would have liked. You will need T-Zones add-on to browse the internet, available for a nominal monthly fee.

APPLICATIONS: (5/5)
The phone includes two Java games and two Java (J2ME) applications. You can download more using T-Zones, which is a surprisingly cheap add-on. The phone has memory of 700KB shared between Java applications, pictures and audio. People complain it's not much, but I have found it to be plenty compared to 128KB of the Motorola T720i. The phone also includes an easy-to-use calendar, a stopwatch, currency changer and other useful tools.

SHORTCUT KEYS: (3/5)
On the home screen, pressing UP or DOWN pulls up the phonebook. Pressing LEFT or RIGHT displays the calendar. Pressing 0 (zero) for a second connects you to T-Zones. A discrete button on the top of the phone lets you change Profiles. Initially, it is extremely hard to get the side-panel volume control to work, but you'll get used to it over time.

Summary: PERFECT!!
Review: GREAT PHONE THAT OFFERS EXCELLENT PREFORMANCE AND FEATURES AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.THE ONLY ANNOYANCE IS THE LACK OF "NORMAL" RING TONES, OTHERWISE A GREAT PHONE.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: nice phone
Review: Nice phone, but you probably won't get the big rebate from this place because they will lose it. They have already lost 2 such rebates.

The phone is good with good reception. The screen is clear and everything works.

Recommended!

Summary: okay phone
Review: well i was so excited when i bouth the phone. it had great color, althought there is not a big selection of color schemes. the plastic face of the phone scratches really easly you would think if you have a phone with an open sceen you would have scratch resistant screen right? also the ear piece volume is not that loud as im use too with my old nokia and samsung phones. the phone was also expensive for me it was 200.00 that is because i have not had their service for a year yet. any ways over all it is a good phone love the reception i do recomend

Summary: Good Phone
Review: Suffered none of the bad things everyone else has in their reviews. Reliable, and does what it's supposed to do; be a phone. Great customer service at T-mobile also, but sometimes has a creepy "Stepford Wives" feel to the experience. If the phone is ever restocked, get one. Good reception in Vegas too.

Summary: Love it despite inferior sound quality
Review: The tiny size, great battery life, ease of use and quality speakerphone make this the best cell phone I've had so far. The sound quality isn't as good as Motorola--there's a slight hiss in the background, but it's not annoying enough to prevent me from recommending the phone.
