Review: It is a great phone with GPS specially.
You can subscribe TeleNav service from Nextel to do real time navigation. You never get lost if you have this service.
I tried, it is great!

Summary: Best East Coast - Baja Mexico long distance mobile solution
Review: Received the phone (Bronze) last weekend. Very satisfied with i830's performance and with Nextel's costumer service. Phone is unobtrusive and light, yet solid and functional. Coverage around the Hartford, CT area is excellent: no drop calls yet. Direct Connect feature is outstanding: can talk indefinitely with friends and family in Northern Baja California, Mexico (no more costly long distance bills). Overall, a complete solution to mobile communication in a striking, exceedingly elegant package.

Summary: Great phone. Finally a Nextel that fits in your pocket.
Review: This is the nextel i was waiting for. Its slim, works great and the best Nextel I've ever owned.

Amazing thing is that the screen size is the same as i730 but of course the phone is 30%-40% smaller.

The TeleNav feature is great if you're a business traveller. it TELLS you exactly how far your turn is and when to turn. I'd say its worth the extra $10 a month.

Upgrade or buy this phone. You'll love it!

Summary: TOP QUALITY PHONE AND SERVICE!!!
Review: This phone does not have all the features that other known GSM carries have (AT&T, Tmo, Cingular) but this phone in particular is great in a sense it finally broke the mold that Nextel was known for. They finally created a small phone that actually work very well. It is about the size of the motorola V60 (actually kinda smaller but heavier) and is very VERY durable.

I have been using this phone for at least 3 days so far and i have dropped it on one occasion and it lasted through the shock. This phone has what Nextel people needed which was size and DC.

I highly reccomend this phone if you want just a great quality voice call, BUT if youre looking for features like cameras or video recording please look to the GSM providers. On a side note, Nextel is coming out with their I860 in a few months so please be on the lookout for this Camera phone.

Here are the PROS and CONS:

Pros:
Small size
Durable
Loud Speakerphone
Call reception is great

Cons:
No camera
No BT
bit heavy

If you can look past its simple design you might be in for a treat knowning that it has all the things that we would expect from a Nextel phone.

Summary: Worth every penny
Review: Traded the i730, AT LAST. I hated the size, it's about friggin time nextel offered a small color display phone. Motorola has made excellent tiny phones for years, and I finally get to combine it with Nextel service, which I wouldn't trade for anything. The browser is so useful I couldn't live without it, Biz Finder (I never call information), People Finder, movie times and flight arrivals, basically everything you could want out of a web browser for 10 bucks a month. And supposedly the GPS will actually work in this model (another 15 bucks a month), though I haven't tried it. And the "Address Book" is a convenience I become spoiled by. It keeps up to 5000 numbers in a searchable database that you create at Nextel.com and access through the browser (at a very reasonable speed). So far, the i830 is everything the 730 was just ALOT smaller. IT'S SO FRIGGIN TINY- FINALLY!!
