Summary: Best for the Price
Review: *2 outputs, great for plugging in a vcr along with your tv *300 watts will be more than enough needed for any object that your probably thinkng about putting in your car *Compact size *Nice appearence, not an eyesore **Only Con is that my car blew a fuse when i put a small refrigerator in the car, but i was just testing it out to see what would happen if i applied more than 300 watts.

This is definitely the best for any price, i would of bought this for 30 dollars more than what i purchased it for.

Summary: 2 Outlets, No Fuss
Review: As simple as it may seem, and it works like a charm. 2 outlets. Kept my laptop running for my entire vacation without problems. Very quiet so my family didn't even realize that I was getting power from the back seat. I think that it troubled them that my batteries never died!

Summary: couldn't be better

Review: folks if you are looking for a great inverter, this is it. I am a storm chaser for the national weather service and this thing powers my whole truck. Radar systems, AC radio, and i'm sure there's more. it even powers a desktop computer! Lots of you complain that you can only get 120W out of you cig lighter. Well all you have to do is find the same fuse that is in the inverter and replace it with the one in you car. Volia, you can then pull up to 300 watts from your lighter

Summary: Not happy
Review: I got this to power a 19in color tv that I had when I went camping and found out that not only counld it not run the tv (I later found out that you need 3 to 4 times the watts that was rated on the back of the tv to power it on). My tv was rated at 125 watts but would not power it up and ended up blowing the fuse for my cig lighter in my car. Not good. Get one that is rated much higher then what you think you might be needing that way you will not have the same problem that I had.

Summary: Best thing ever to happen!
Review: I have always wanted to go on car trips and play my PS2 in the car, but unlike gameboy it doesn't run off batteries. Then when I saw this I just had to get it because with this product you can take bigger TV's instead of those small little car TV's and I can also play my PS2. But the only thing is that even if you plug in less than 300 Volts it can still blow the fuse in the car if used more than 45 minutes.

Review: If you are looking for a perfect inverter ,this is it. I am a storm chaser for the national weather service and let me tell you, this thing powers my whole truck. Radios, radar systems, even a desktop computer! Most people complain of only getting 120W through a cig lighter. All you need to do is find the same fuse that is in the inverter and stick in in the fuse slot in your car. Volia, you can pull up to 300W from your cig lighter!

Summary: TrippLite PV150 delivers only 98 Volts; laptop shuts down!
Review: The Tripp Lite PV150 (150 watts) delivers only 98 volts (no load); many laptops just shut off because of the low and out-of-spec AC voltage.
The unit may be OK for drills, toasters, etc.

Hopefully, the PV300 delivers decent AC voltage but check it before the inverter damages your laptop.

Summary: You can't use a cig lighter for more than 120 watts!!!!
Review: This is in response to another reviewer who gave this a 1-star rating, because he couldn't use more than 125 watts without blowing the cigarette lighter fuse. The inverter is not at fault. Most cig lighter sockets are limited to a maximum of ten amps of current, and 10 amps times 12 volts equals 120 watts.

If you want to use a 300 watt inverter up to its full capacity, you can't use the cigareatte ligher socket to power the inverter. Instead you'll need to install an accessory power socket with at least the same amp rating as the inverter's fuse.

These accessory sockets are often sold with battery clamps on them for direct attachment to a battery, but some models of accessory sockets can also be directly wired to a spare fuse slot on your vehicle's fuse panel and mounted on or under the dash. Many vehicles have 2 or 3 spare fuse circuits available for add-on electrical accessories like this.

If you are not comfortable doing work on your vehicle's electrical system yourself, I suggest contacting a car audio business to see if they can install one of these accessory sockets for you, or if they can direct you to someone in your area who can.

Summary: A downright steal!
Review: This is one of those few items where the list price is an actual street price, rather than something to make the selling price look good. And the selling price IS good for a 300 watt power inverter! The power inverter itself works well, too. I bought it to charge my 12 volt DeWalt cordless drill, but use it for my flashlight, cellphone, shaver, laptop and digital camera, too. ...
