Summary: This case has a case of the dropsies...
Review: As others have mentioned, the case does not consistently keep the T3 fastened down. When carrying the T3 (within its case) in my coat pocket or in my briefcase, the movement apparently loosens the T3 from the clips that were designed to hold it in the case. Thus, the case doesn't do its job. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the problem for a while, and now it's too late to return it.

Review: Cheesy looking faux plastic, instantly waiting to spring-eject your palm through its humongous top maw.I would like to add that it is also very difficult to open the T3 up to full-size with this case: You have to dedicate one hand entirely (typically the left hand if you are right handed) just to holding it in (I should say "on") the case, and the other to gingerly extending it out without unseating the device from the case. A disgrace.

Summary: Palm Can Pop Out Easily
Review: I agree with most of what the other reviewers wrote with one exception. My case has a very secure cover latch. It is spring loaded and closes nicely. I don't even mind the large cut-out. The T3 is held in place by a leaf spring on the bottom of the case that pushes up VERY GENTLY on the palm and allows the two plastic hooks on the back of the case to engage in the mating slots on the back of the palm. In my opinion, there simply isn't enough pressure to keep the T3 secure. It frequently pops out, making the case a temporary solution until I find a better one. I rate myself 1 star for not reading the reviews, like you just did.

Summary: Bad Design
Review: I am very disappointed with this case. After having a tight-fitting case for my old Handspring, I expected nothing but the best for my new T3. The Palm doesn't stay tight in the case and thus, half the time it falls out in my purse or briefcase. I will be looking for somethine else.

Summary: not so bad...
Review: I had bought hard cases for my previously owned Palms (V and 500) because without one, they were always getting accidentally turned on in my purse, draining the battery. Palm T3 doesn't have that problem because of the placement of the on/off switch. I didn't have a problem with the T3 coming loose from the case, and found it functional - just bulky, a bit heavy and not needed. I'm far happier with a slim leather case that also holds my credit card and 2 expansion cards. But if you are looking for a hard case specifically, I don't think this one is so bad.

Summary: Palm T3 has to be the worst palm case ever made....
Review: I have been working professionally supporting palms for years and familiar with several models and their cases. This is my 6th palm that I have purchased, but this has to be one of the poorest cases designed for this particular device. They should have put a rubber grip inside the case. Half the time when I extend the screen - it pops out of the case. I have dropped the palm numerous times when just holding the case because the 2 small hooks holding the palm in does not lock it securely. This case gives you little security in protecting this device...

Summary: OK - but definitely not worth the money! buy something else
Review: I just bought this case on sale for about $18. I haven't had any problems with the Tungsten falling out, and I also find it easy to open up the Tungsten using the opening on the back of the case. However, I would never pay full price for it, and wished I had bought something else.

Summary: Silly design offers no protection
Review: I saw this case at a store that thankfully had the case on display, so I could put my T3 in it and see how it worked. Silly design. The T3 merely RESTS in the case; it isn't held in place by anything, really. The case is made of cheap-feeling plastic and it doesn't snap shut, simply closes over the face of the T3. Furthermore, the top of the case is entirely cut away, so the T3's top shows through. This is to allow easy access to the IR port and the media-card slot, but it also renders the case incapable of protecting the handheld'gives your Palm an easy way to slip out of the case without warning. Finally, there's a cutout on the upper left to allow access to the voice-recorder button and the earphone port. Unless you use the PDA's key-lock function all the time, your Palm is thus vulnerable to having its battery run down by continuous pressure against the voice-memo button, something that's altogether too easy in a backpack or purse (or even a coat pocket). I'm happy I saw this case in person before I bought it. The combination of silly design ideas in this thing makes me wonder how Palm ever thought the design was viable for sale as a protective case.

Review: Jeez, what a waste of money. I have to mirror the other reviews (and I wish I would've read them before I bought this piece of crap): The case rarely holds my T3, it's flimsy and badly made, and, frankly, I doubt it would protect my T3 if it were dropped on a pillow. Pass on this one.

Review: PERSPECTIVE: Active Palm owner and user
I would think that a company that makes such useful, expensive, and easily breakable gadgets as Palm does would market a case that would offer significant protection in addition to functionality. Apparently, my thinking is wrong.
I won't wait until the punchline - don't buy this case. It is flimsily constructed, and offers little in the way of actual protection. For example, the first day after purchase, I had my T3 and case in my coat pocket, along with a plastic pen, and I leaned casually against a wall - later, when I pulled out my Palm to use it, I noted that the front cover was bent in half around a pen-shaped indentation! My Palm was uninjured, and I was able to bend the case back into shape with relative ease. Read that again - I was able to bend the case back into shape with relative ease. That's bad.
Needless to say, a few weeks later, I was walking through a crowd, Palm in pocket, and was jostled into a counter. I pulled out my Palm, and noted with horror that the case cover was crumpled, and that my precious screen was cracked and useless.
As to functionality, it has 2 relatively foolproof expansion card slots in the inside front cover. The top the case is open, to allow better card and beaming access. The T3 actually clips into the case by hooking into 2 slots in the back of the Palm itself, which initially seems nifty... until I discovered that even small bumps to the case can cause the gadget to be "unhooked" without one being aware of it. Thus, if the case is tilted, out slides the Palm through the open top, to a fall that may result in a fatal injury to your $3-400 machine.
FINAL WORD: Avoid like the plague. Get the Rhinoskin T3 case instead, which is well-made and less expensive.
