Summary: good camera, but it should come with the rechargable battery
Review: A solid camera, and the memory card it comes with holds a lot of hi-res pictures. Printed phots look great. i ordered it without the charger though, and i went through the non-rechargable battery in two days. the camera is useless without the battery charger kit, but is still worth the money.

Summary: Buying S10 w/o DK-110 is like buying a car w/o wheels
Review: Canon uses a proprietary battery and a/c adapter. When you buy your S10 or S20, don't forget to factor the cost of the DK-110. The higher/newer Canon digital cameras include the a/c and battery kit but these cameras also cost [price]. The bottomline is that you need the DK-110 w/S10 or S20 cameras as the enclosed disposable Li Ion battery lasts about 30 mins. You cannot recharge the battery while using the AC adapter on the camera so I would invest in a DK-110 plus an extra NB-5H battery pack. Paying [price]for the kit is steep but I was fortunate to find the DK-110 kit + battery at a local retailer. There's nothing functionally wrong with the kit but I think it is a steep price. It would have been nice if Canon had designed the camera to take standard AA, hence 3 stars.

Review: gotta have this product, its a must have for the s10 for the firmware upgrade if you don't have a cf card reader, its great cause you don't have to buy more battieries and it is also great cause it acts as an adapter

Summary: Must Have for S10 or S20
Review: I almost gave this item a 5 Stars. If it was a little bit lower priced, it would be a 5 Star product. This kit comes with a rechargable battery and a DC power supply for the camera. Too bad you can't charge the battery and use the DC power supply at the same time.

Summary: Canon DK110 Power Supply Kit
Review: I also recently purchased a DK 110 power supply kit for my Canon S-20 camera. The battery shaped portion of the D.C. coupler goes into the camera and not into the power adapter. This can be a little confusing but the instructions that came with the Power Supply Kit does show this clearly. I am writing this because of a previous review from another user regarding this issue. I initially tried to plug it into the adapter instead of the camera!

Review: I bought S20 to photograph my kid last year and I have not thought of changing to any other camera. The only problem it has, besides expensive print, is the battery life. I did not have time to do research on it so I kept buying 2CR5 batteries from Walgreen, which were like 12 bucks per piece. Until very recently I suddenly woke up figuring I needed to buy rechargeable battery to prevent those expensive one-time 2CR5 batteries from draining my pocket. DK110 (the power supply which include the charger and the rechargeable NB-5H battery) is an absolutely must-buy for Canon S20 users - go get it right after you bought ur camera. Of course the camera will be heavier with NB-5H but it's not much difference. I have done this a year late but it will easily pay off in a couple of months for me. And also I would strongly suggest you buy an adapter for your laptop so you can simply put the CompactFlash storage card into the adapter and slide the combination into your laptop's PC card slot (CardBus II slot). It's a lot faster than USB connection and does not consume any battery from your camera. The PC card adapter is from SanDisk.

Summary: Photos beyond my expectations!
Review: I did a lot of research before making the decision to purchase the Canon S20 Digital camera and am glad I did. I was prepared to buy a different camera but at the last minute decided to wait until I could go on-line and get some additional information about digital cameras in general. I sure am glad I did because the one I was about to purchase was not rated very highly among users at all.

After considerable research, I bought the Canon S20 and have never been sorry. Maybe I just got a great one but I have photographed all our family and friends in close range and have produced the most awesome 5x7 and 8x10 potrait-quality prints that no one can believe were made with a digital camera. (I do have an excellent printer as well, which is also a key to great photos.)

I bought the 350mb Micro drive so that I would be able to take all my photos in the highest resolution the camera will allow and not be worried about storage space. The micro drive will hold over 300 photos even in the highest resolution. The beauty of high resolutions is that you can enlarge your photos to 11 x 14 or higher if you want and lose absolutely no quality!

Most of my friends have digital cameras but mine is the envy of all. A couple friends have gone out and bought the Canon S20 after seeing the quality my camera produces.

The only drawback is the battery situation. I am going to buy a second battery and charger because I hate running out of battery power out in the middle of nowhere with no power source handy. It seems as though you can't buy just a second rechargable battery without buying the whole recharging kit with it. To have a fully charged battery as a spare would really be a plus and I am surprised Canon doesn't realize this and sell a rechargeable battery by itself (without charger) for this purpose.

Summary: Must have even though expensive
Review: I got this for a Powershot A-50 digital camera. It works great. Without it you go through a host of expensive throw away batteries. My only complaint is that you have to buy the entire kit. I just wanted the battery and charger. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but worth it in the long run. ...

Summary: Power supply kit
Review: I recently purchased a DK 110 power supply kit for my Canon S-10 camera. The D.C. coupler would not plug into the power adapter. I could not believe it. The battery works just fine, charges perfectly. The numbers on both units appear to be correct and compatible, but the coupler will not plug in. I would expect much more from a company like canon when it comes to quality control.
