Rating: Summary: Small and practical Review: I bought this for everyday use to protect my S50 from getting scratched inside my purse or briefcase. It's small, well-made and easy to open should you need the camera in a hurry. I would have liked Canon to have included a removable shoulder/neck strap, but I can probably improvise something . Overall, if you're looking for something sleek and which offers some protection - this is the case.
Rating: Summary: Just don't buy it Review: I should have listened to the other negative reviews on this product. Bought it and finally have to return it. It's really what the others have said. I ended up buying a Samsonite at Best Buy for my Canon S30. If your camera is also as small as mine, that Samsonite is probably the best you can find out there.
Rating: Summary: lousy case, worth about $5 - SHOULD BE NO STARS! Review: I wish I had read the reviews first before ordering this. It is a terrible case. I thought there would be cushioning of some sort and a small pocket to store CF cards or a spare battery, but it basically only makes the camera bulkier. I plan to return it and root around in my old camera equipment for something that fits.
Rating: Summary: Frank Review: Major problem with this case is that you have to push the camera into it and this movement can slide back the lens sliding cover if you are not careful. BE VERY CAREFUL while inserting the camera into the case, or the sliding cover of the lens will be left partially open. Perhaps it will not (?) trigger the Power On condition or drain the battery if the slider is open only partially, but the dust can get to the lens. Next time you remove the camera from the case chances are that you can grab the lens glass with your oily fingers.
Rating: Summary: Not really a good case Review: Othr than the Canon brandname, the case is not a good one: (i) not enough protection, (ii) doesn't cover the whole camera, (iii) no room even for a single accessory (such as extra memory, let alone an extra batter). It's not worth it given that price. Well, if it's 5 bucks, I will have it just for the Canon-brand showoff....Get a Lowepro Z10 instead. BestBuy sells it for $.... It (i) fits my S45 perfectly, (ii) gives a much better protection for the camera, (iii) looks really cool, not bulky at all, (iv) has extra front (extendible) pocket for accessories; (v) has belt strap and shoulder strap. Finally, it's waterproof.
Rating: Summary: Not worth it Review: The only protection this case might offer is for the LCD screen. Other than that, it's not worth it. For about the same price, I got a case that fits the camera, a spare CompactFlash card, a spare battery (a must), a cable for hooking the camera up to a TV or monitor, and, in a side pouch, the battery recharger. The case has a strap too. And it isn't too big; everything fits into it very snugly. Go to a nearby camera store and get a generic case. And bring your camera, to test for fit. Definitely pass on this case.

Rating: Summary: basic protection, perfect fit, quick & easy access to camera Review: the psc30 is a very nice case that does its primary mission well - protect your s30/s40/s45/s50 from everyday wear and tear in a package that is light and compact. pros: - protects from everyday wear and tear without adding bulk or weight to your camera/case package. - designed specifically for the canon s-series so it's a perfect fit. - very quick and easy access: using this case's belt loop, it's a two second operation to flick open the velcro cover and fish the camera out. - reasonable priced - in the ballpark of generics. cons: - does not have enough padding/protection: from all the reviews i've read, this is one of two main complaints. i have to agree; this case won't protect your camera if you drop it, but it wasn't designed to do that. if you want more padding (but with more bulk), you'll have to look elsewhere. - no extra pockets for CF cards or spare batteries: this is the other main complaint, and again, this is true. while this is an issue for some, it isn't for me because i was looking for the smallest case i could find. adding more pockets means more bulk. besides, i bought a 512MB card and for me, that's enough storage capacity that i don't need a spare CF card. a spare battery, if i felt i needed it for that day's activities, will sit in my pocket. i like this case. i accept the "cons" i listed as a necessary trade-off to what i was really after: the smallest, lightest case for my s50. it really depends on what you want to use this case for. if you need more protection or more storage, pass on this case. if you're looking for a simple case that offers everyday protection, a perfect fit, and allows quick and easy access to your camera, this is the one. i hope this helps you with your buying decision. peace.
Rating: Summary: A-OK Review: This camera case does what I need it to do: Protects my camera when I lug it around in my purse. If I wanted somewhere to put the camera, and extra battery, and memory card, then I would have bought a bigger camera bag. But for everyday use, this one is A-OK by me!
Rating: Summary: Buy something else Review: This case is waaay overpriced at ... . It looks like something you'd see - but pass on - for ... at Wal-Mart. The leather is thin and padding virtually nonexistent. It does not completely cover the camera. And the closure is a huge piece of velcro which makes quite an obnoxious noise everytime you open it up. My advice is to buy something else.
