Summary: My mistake -- Impractical-- No pockets or padding
Review: My bottom line first: Looks=4 stars Practicality=1 star

The leather is superb, and the look is super, but this case is no help to me at all. All I wanted was one eensy pocket and maybe some slight padding, but nope.... Maybe you can learn from my mistake.

Be advised that you won't be able to store even one spare (tiny, tiny!) memory card in this pretty little case, much less a spare battery. Evidently this product was designed strictly to keep the camera body from scratching and to look spiffy because its functional value is otherwise nil, zip, nada.

Not only was I disappointed that there isn't even the tiniest wedge of storage space, I am also convinced this soft sheath couldn't protect my new camera from even the slightest bump. The soft leather is akin to a driving glove and has great tactile impact, but it has little if any padding value.

Even the opening for the camera's wrist strap seems ill-designed to me. It's in the center top of the case and so the strap has to be *rethreaded* each time the camera gets put back inside the pouch. I could just let the strap dangle out the opening on either side of the top, I guess, but that would mean stretching the soft case cover completely out of shape in no time flat and then worrying that it might fall right off the camera the minute I'm not looking.

Once I got my package opened and discovered there was no inside or back side pocket, I knew this product just wasn't what I needed. Return shipping the opened case, however, doesn't seem a viable option to me since the product cost was very low. I've decided to hold onto it until I can replace it with one more practical for using and protecting the investment I've just sunk into my new Canon SD100, a memory card upgrade, and a spare battery. I'm hoping that my experience offers you more information than I had when I made my purchase.

Summary: Why extra?
Review: Nice Case, fine because it's small.

BUT - with as much as you pay for this camera, why can't they include a simple case? I would have paid ...more dollars at the outset for the case to be included, so I didn't have to spend the extra time looking to buy it, finding it, and paying to have it shipped to me!

Summary: Great Case
Review: Positive:
-Small, Fits the S200 & S230 Models snuggly.

Negative:
-Not much room for much else.

This case was made to fit the Digital Elph S200 or S230 (same size). I don't know if it a S330 would fit in it or not. It has a nice soft interior to protect the ElPH's LCD, the viewfinder lenses, and the metal finish. Since the batteries and CompactFlash cards are so small you can put fit those in the bag too. If you don't need a hard case for your s200 or s230 camera I'd get this one.

Summary: Has Pros and Cons
Review: Pros:
1. Small size.
2. Belt loop
3. Quality of construction

Cons:
1. No place for extra battery or compact flash (at least not in any secure way).
2. Belt loop (takes up space)
3. Plaque (that little metal plaque takes up space, and makes it easier for the case to snag on clothing.)

Conclusion:
If you have only the camera (no extra batteries or compact flash),
don't care about the case not being completely streamlined,
and want a belt loop, this case is for you.
If you are like me and are looking for a very streamlined case, don't need a beltloop
and need space for another battery, keep looking.

Summary: For $10 how can you go wrong?
Review: Snug fitting case for my S400. Has a slot for the leash. Perfect if you need to carry just the camera.

Summary: would like to point out
Review: that the first reviewer of this product obviously didn't read the description before he bought. This is for the s230 and down, not the s330. No wonder it didn't fit!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Beautiful leather, fits like a glove
Review: The bad: The case leaves the corners of the camera exposed -- the seams have intentional gaps.

The good: The quality is fantastic -- beautiful leather. As another reviewer indicated, it fits like a glove and holds ONLY the camera, nothing more (s200 or s400 only -- everyone else keep looking). Through a little engineering, they could have made the overall dimensions smaller by using 1)Less velcro, 2)no metal "PowerShot" plaque, and 3)moving the velcro fastening part to the top of the case. But I challenge anyone to find a smaller case for the s200 or s400. And like I said, the leather is beautiful to boot!

Summary: Adequate for a SD100
Review: The case is a bit big for the SD100 but protects it adequately. Keep in mind that it's more of a cover than a case since there are no pockets for batteries or media cards; just a belt loop on the back. Tossed in a backpack, threaded through a belt and just hung on the wrist, it's worked pretty well. The large velcro area keeps the flap shut.

Conclusion: It's a very stylish, minimalist-type case, albeit lacking in functionality. Pretty much an unbeatable price

Summary: fits but sticky
Review: The case is perfect for the cameras listed but the velcro is stuck on with glue and the glue is constantly coming off thte sides of the flap. It got so annoying, especially when the glue started to get on my s400 and my fingers. I returned it twice and will have to find something else.

Summary: It protects. It's light-weight. It's soft.
Review: The main function of any camera case is to protect the camera. This does an excellent job in preventing scratches and giving it a little cushion against minor bumps. After being disappointed by a hard leather case (like the leather in belts or shoes), I bought this soft case. This soft case molds around your camera, whether it's the SD100, SD110, S230, S400, or any of the cameras mentioned in the product title. Since the leather looks handsome and feels soft, you will want to use this case all the time. After all, if you don't use the case, then it can't protect the camera. 11/12/2004 EDIT: If you prefer an even softer case but with a little less protection, then try the "Canon Soft Leather Case for Canon Digital ELPH Cameras": http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004WCCT
