Summary: Great Case for my Camera
Review: I purchased my S500 because I wanted a small, portable camera that I could just put in my pocket and go. This case is exactly what I wanted for my camera. Fair enought, it doesn't hold any additional items, but if you have a larger memory card then you do not always need to carry an extra one. If not, just carry the extras in pockets or your purse.

Canon Powershots are designed to be small and portable. This case fits the bill exactly, providing protection for the camera without adding bulk. It has protected my camera well when it was in the bottom of my bookbag, purse, pocket or on my belt. A very functional, well made case.

Summary: Looks good, fit snuggly
Review: I really liked how the case fit nicely around the camera without adding much bulk. It was a bit strange that they left the corners out, though. (The corners of the case are open) If you did dropthe camera or set it down hard, the corners could still get damaged. Otherwise it looks good and fits well.

Summary: Best case for the S400, so far
Review: I wanted a case for my new S400 that was like the form-fitting leather case that came with my ELPH 2 APS camera. This was the best I could find. The leather is stiffer than the ELPH case, which means it's more bulky in your pocket. However, I think it will probably provide better protection for the LCD than the softer case would. The construction seems to be good and the case is a very good fit for the S400. The velcro closure on my ELPH case worked fine and I anticipate that this will, too. I experimented with using my ELPH case with the S400, and it fits, but I didn't like the overall feel in the softer case since the S400 is quite a bit heavier than the ELPH.

Canon markets this case in a package along with a battery pack and a larger carry-all case. The cost is about the same price as the battery and the small case alone, so if you want both the case and the battery, get the package and you'll get an extra case. The carry-all is big enough for extra batteries, cards, and a lot more, but it's not too huge to be impractical.

Having said that, I still agree with the reviewers who believe that Canon should include a case as part of the equipment that comes standard with the camera.

Summary: Perfect Sleek Case
Review: I was unanle to buy this case through Amazon.com (used dell.com), but this is a great camera case for the s400. I bought the s400 for its small sleek style, so I didn't want to buy a big bulky case to put it in. This leather cover (can't really call it a case because like others have said it holds NOTHING but the camera) is perfect for keeping the camera safe from scratches while in your pocket, purse, etc. I have a larger case that I use for storage that holds the camera (in the leather cover), the charger, extra memory cards, batteries, etc. I would really recommend this case to any one who buys the s400.

Summary: So what's the problem?!
Review: I'm not sure why people have a problem with this case. The whole purpose in buying a Canon S-series camera is for its compactness! This case follows that theme. As for the thread issue, when I have to take pics, I don't unthread it completely so it's not an issue. I'd recommend buying another case with more padding and space for extra battery, charger and memory card at WalMart for 4-bucks for when you go on travel. For what they're selling this for, and considering its quality, it's a winner!

Summary: Ótima - Boa qualidade

Summary: Fits like a glove
Review: It is a perfect size for my S230. It does not hold anything other than the camera, but then why would you want to - it would only make it bulky, especially if you are travelling. You can easily carry a separate case for the camera (with the in its leather case) and the rest paraphenalia.

The hard backing they used is slightly bigger than the camera, which protects both the LCD screen on the back of the camera and the corners of the camera. It is inconsequential that the corners are not sewn shut. As a matter of fact, esthetically, it looks better this way, rather than having bulky corners. It also has a belt strap on the back. It is better than a clip, as you could accidentally snap it loose and there goes your precious camera. The inside lining feels like wool, further protecting the camera from scratches. The leather really feels like butter.

How can they make such a nice little leather case for such a low price.

Summary: Just as it appears
Review: Leather case is no frills, but stylish, and does what it's supposed to do--protect the camera. If you're looking for a case with pockets for accessories, look for something else. Otherwise, this case fits the bill. Silly that it didn't come with the camera in the first place, but oh well...
