Rating: Summary: It is what it is Review: I have just tested my new Ewa housing in my pool and I have already gotten some good photos and can see that it will probably do what I want well. I don't see this as a full blown underwater housing. In my opinion this is an affordable solution to tinkering with underwater photography. The most common complaint I've heard is that the buttons become impossible to handle as the housing becomes compressed at depth, and although I have not tested it deeper than 10 feet, I'll admit that they may be correct. The fact is this housing is good for use in shallow water. I wouldn't want to be banging my Nikon all over a deep wreck or such in this housing anyhow and there is no means of attaching an external flash, which would be almost mandatory for deeper and more serious underwater photography. The knobs and dials on my Coolpix are a little difficult to operate (as if you were wearing gloves), but it's manageable (buttons are easy). It shows no signs of leakage and appears sturdy. That is about all I expected from this product and it doesn't look like it's going to let me down. I will use it for shooting photos while swimming, snorkeling and some pre-planned shots in shallow water with scuba. If I change my opinion after using this product in the field I will post again, but considering its lack of sophistication I don't expect any surprises.
