Velbon's first four-section tubular carbon fiber unipod, the CUP-40 deluxe professional photo/video unipod combines superior strength with an extremely light weight (14 ounces) not found in most other conventional aluminum unipods. Carbon fiber is a third lighter than aluminum, with a strength comparable to iron plus aluminum. It is an excellent vibration-absorbing material and is resistant to temperature changes. The direct-mount camera platform utilizes a reversible camera-mounting stud (0.375 inches and 0.25 inches), an adjustable wrist strap, and a foam-rubber handgrip.
