Rating: Summary: Great Value Review: As one person noted, there is not much you can say about a tripod. This Vivitar is light, easy to handle and carry. Great for the hobbyist. It has a nice tight fluid motion, feels stable, and the quick release allows for switching from camcorder to digital or 35mm camera on demand. Vivitar managed to get a lot out of a light weight tripod on this one. It should work for any amature and some serious filming. No, it is not the professional model, but it certainly will work great for anything short of professional requirements.

Rating: Summary: Not a good buy. Review: I have this tripod for just 3 months. I have used about 3 times. The head has come apart from the center post. It appears the head screwed into the center post and the grooves have stripped. It is going to cost me shipping plus an additional $3.50 to send it back for repair or replacement.Additionally, the tripod is steady if you use the hook at the bottom to hang your camera or gadget bag but make sure you tighten down the screw that holds the center post or it will wobble on you. I realize it's an inexpensive (cheap) tripod but just because it doesn't cost much doesn't mean it has to be made poorly. Buy it at your own risk.
Rating: Summary: A light weight, but solid tripod Review: I purchased the Vivitar V-2400GX tripod for my camcorder. This tripod is light weight, yet very solid. When using increasing magnifications, any shaking will be magnified as well. I could carry this tripod very easily and setup was a snap. I used this for a recent graduation ceremony and it eliminated any shaking. This tripod is solid. You do not need to worry about knocking it over. It won't.
Rating: Summary: The Best Value Tripod Review: I recently purchased the Vivitar V-2400GX Video/Photo Tripod. When i opened the box it was a small but light tripod that was easy to carry. As soon as I get something i like to try it out so guess what! I un-did the clips and let the legs extend to a hight of 60". It even has a bubble aligner so your sure you have the perfect video. There are lots of screws to hold the components in place so to turn the head you have to loosen the screw and then turn it. If your an ameteur or professional photographer and were looking for an inexpensive tripod here you go.
Rating: Summary: Great Value & price! Review: I use this tripod with 7th & 8th grade students using a digital camcorder to make i-movies. It's held up well and I'm planning on purchasing another so they don't need to argue over who's turn it is to use it. Very easy to use. The built in level bubble is a plus. Very adaptable height wise.

Rating: Summary: Vivitar V-2400GX Video/Photo Tripod Review: Light weight (under 3lbs), aluminum legs, and a max height of ~60 inches. Geared center column design adds precise vertical control when using the fluid 3-way panhead. It has a quick release mounting platform and a bubble leveler. If you're looking tripod that cost under $30, I would recommend this one.
