Rating: Summary: A wonderful storage option Review: ...I recently purchased a Sony digital camera, and quickly grew tired of the limited space the 16mb card afforded me. I went ahead a shelled out the money for the 128mb version, and boy am I glad I did. At the maximum resolution I can store almost 70 digital photos, and at 640 x 480 res I can store more than double that. Since the media card is interchangeable in other Sony devices, this little card could be your best friend. It remains to be seen how long it will last before I wear it out, but so far I absolutely love it. It is worth the extra money. You could get by cheaper, but you'll regret it.
Rating: Summary: Sony is for me! Review: 128MB - this is a great memory stick for the sheer amount of data that can be stored. If you are like me, you can also use it as a mini portable hard drive. With a SanDisk USB Memory Stick reader, you effectively have a small 128 MB hard drive that you can take with you. I can save WORD documents, or drawings, etc. to the Memory Stick just like a floppy disk, remove it and plug into my home PC. It's very handy for transporting anything you wish from one location to the other. It's worth paying a little more for the Sony name to know you have the quality you can trust from the brand you can trust! (visit www.holidaytyme.com)

Rating: Summary: Sony 128 MB Memory Stick. Good Choice? Review: Depending on how many photo sticks you have and your accessibilty to a computer for quick erasure and down load, all memory sticks have a limited number of exposures. And depending on the size of your images the lower number you will get from a memory stick. Having that in mind, they are a great tool because you can edit on the spot, but unlike traditional film, you don't always know how many you are getting. And if you don't have lots of $ you most likely don't have lots of memory sticks to bring along for photo ops. Just something to keep in mind.
Rating: Summary: Good product, bad price. Review: Having good storage capacity for your digital camera is a must. My Sony DSC-P72 came with a lousy 16 MB memory stick, so I was practically pushed to by this additional stick. The product itself works perfectly well. Access time is very fast. Note however that some 5MB out of the 128MB in this stick are used for internal file system structure. This leaves you with "only" 123MB of user memory. Unfortunatelly, the price is not good at all. Sony prices this sort of supplies very high. There are compatible products out there in the market that cost 30% less. I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been for the price.
Rating: Summary: How many pictures will it store? Review: How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
The Sony MSA128A 128MB Memory Stick, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.
I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.
Rating: Summary: can't wait for more uses Review: I bought the 128MB memory stick for my DCR TRV-30 mini-DV camera, which doubles as a 1.5 megapixel still camera. This is large enough to hold over 100 stills, giving me plenty of buffer in case I can't upload them to my PC right away. I've had no issues whatsoever. I can't wait until Sony or someone else comes out with an in-dash receiver\MP3 player that reads these memory sticks. It will be nice to listen to the tunes while bouncing around in the Jeep!
Rating: Summary: works as it's supposed to Review: i bought this for a friend's sony cybershot digicam. it works as it's supposed to... which is to store pictures. i think that deserves 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: Worth the Money Review: I bought this for the TJ25. It may be overkill but what the heck.It does put a drain on the TJ25. Have not played with it too much to gage the loss. However, it is nice for a quick backup especially if you are going through an airport. A wand wave in India once wiped the memory on a palm! It is costly and the main reason for the lower score. Of course the sales happen after I buy, but it does the job and I have tons of room especially for those large games you don't want to toss!
