Summary: Oh Yeah!
Review: A CF card is a CF card is a CF card.
It's hard to justify spending big bucks for the biggest name when it comes to memory.
I just bought this, so I can't speak to long term, but so far it is flawless. I love having an extra half-gig of memory on my Pocket PC.
If you're seriously looking into expanding memory, do what I did and wait for a rebate on this card. With a ...rebate, this was the lowest price I have ever seen for CF, and less than half that of cards sold in stores.
In short, a great card at a great price.

Summary: Incompatible with Nikon CoolPix 4300
Review: This product fails intermittantly with a Nikon CoolPix 4300. According to the Viking web site it is recommended and guaranteed to work. According to Nikon it is not a tested and approved memory. Your stuck in the middle. Good luck if you get one.

Summary: doesn't work in my Ipaq 3835
Review: My first 512 card did not work, so I did an exchange with Viking for another. When that one did not work, I decided to exchange for 2 256MB cards, thinking that it was the 512 that my pocket pc was having a problem with. Well I am dismayed to say that after receiving the 2 cards today..they do not work either. In my Ipaq or digital camera (Nikon Coolpix885) I am bummed because Vikings prices are so much lower than the others. Oh well guess I know why now! Customer service at Viking has been great tho.

Summary: Viking 512mb Compact Flash Review
Review: I took advantage of the Amazon/Viking 512mb Compact Flash rebate program, which expired 9/2002, and I am very happy. I already have a Viking 256mb memory card, and it has been very reliable, and fast. I purchased a Dazzle PCMCIA Compact flash adaptor for [$], which presents the CF card as a drive on Win2k or WinXP. ... Movies play great directly from the card. I convert to *.avi format and play using PocketDivx. This capability allows me to leave my laptop at home when on trips. Even without the rebate, [$] is a great buy for the 512mb Viking from Amazon. ...

Summary: Limited Capacity Problem on two different cards...
Review: The first 512MB card I purchased would not hold more than 267MB of data and was determined by Viking to be defective. They replaced it with a new card; it would only hold 306MB. I'm now sending that one back and hoping the third time is a charm...

Summary: great flash card
Review: I love the memory card. It works great with my Kodak DX3900 camara. I don't have to stop what I'm doing and run home to download my pictures. Now I can hold off with downloading and take a couple of hundred pictures (my max is 564 pictures) and not have to run home. It works great for parties and out of state trips.

Summary: Great card at a great price
Review: I bought the Viking CF512M 512 MB Compact Flash Card to go with my Fuji S2 Pro. The card worked right out of the box with no problems. This is a great price for this size card and right now (september 2002) there is a ... rebate from Viking. I think I may buy another one.

Review: Got the product 3 days after I placed the order. Works perfectly with my Minolta Dimage 5. Now I can store over 300 hi res pictures. When I go on vacation I don't have to carry a bag full of film. This is perfect.
