Rating: Summary: Compare Quality as well as Price Review: I purchased a 512MB card in June. It has worked well so far, but recently I have been getting a number of "corrupted data" errors. The problem appears to be getting worse, at about 1 corrupted picture per 75-100. I haven't tried for a warranty replacement, but I intend to, and hopefully the replacement memory card will be better quality. If the quality is not improved, I will be looking for another vendor, even at a higher price.
Rating: Summary: Amazon rebate problems Review: Yesterday I was going to order this card but there was a wait list. Today, now that the rebate has expired, the card ships within 24 hours. The same thing happened with the Viking 128MB SmartMedia card. Something very wrong at Amazon. Contacted customer service who were entirely not helpful, as they just espoused the company policy of offering something that they will not ultimately honor. Shame on you Amazon.
Rating: Summary: Data Loss and horrible customer service Review: Before buying this card, I read some reviews on how great this card was, I read some reviews on how horrible this card was. I was attracted by the price and bought this card. The warranty sounded great so I took a gamble. I totally regret this purchase. I've been losing 2-3 pictures for every 300 pictures I took and this is consistently a problem. I've tried to contact Viking for weeks with no response. Either they are back logged with many many calls requesting a product replacement or they really don't care about customer service. Viking really has poor quality products. I used SanDisk and no problems encountered. I'm taking the time to write this review for those on the fence about purchasing any Viking products. I would stay away. If their website is any indication of their attention to quality and detail, it crashes when you try to get "Live help", or click on "Feedback" links. When you try to process an "Online Product Replacement", it forces you to enter zip codes to USA when customers such as myself are Canadian. They really make you jump through hoops to get your product fixed. I'm still jumping. Wish me luck and I hope you are much luckier than me if you plan on purchasing Viking products.
Rating: Summary: Love em' Review: I've been using Vikings for a couple of years now and have never had a problem. I'm a photographer and must feel confident in the relaibility of the disks when my paying customers are counting on me. I use my Vikings with no reservation and have never lost a file or disk.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful CF Card Review: After getting my Dell Axim, I had to go out and find the perfect CF Card. After doing much research and then comparing prices, the Viking 512MB CF Card was the best on the market.I have had it for 8 months and not a hickup. It has worked perfectly. The Read/Write for the card is more than satisfactory. After buying the 512 for my PDA I bought a 512 for my Nikon Digital Camera and have had the same wonderful experience.
Rating: Summary: Solid product Review: When i got mine i was so happy. It worked great, transfers were fast and all, but it would stop transfering at about 127mb, and thats because it was a defective product. I have the other one coming in the mail now, and when it does come, hopefully i'll get my full 512mb, or 487mb after the formatting. Great product if it works properly.
Rating: Summary: Very sneaky rebate, be careful Review: Card works as expected. Beware that you have less than a week from the time you receive the product to turn in the rebate form which flows with conditions.
Rating: Summary: Excellent when working Review: Recieved the Viking 512MB CF card and was thoroughly impressed. Took it on vacation to Fiji Islands for a month and 400 pics no problems. Upon return, card first started to give malfunction error and was corrected by reinserting card. But after another week completly wouldn't work. Buyer beware, ...

Rating: Summary: Never buy Viking Compact Flash Cards Review: I bought a Viking Compact Flash card and it lasted 3 months. They have a life-time warranty and I got it replaced. The replacement lasted 2 months. I would strongly advice people against buying Viking Cards.
