Summary: Another quality Lynksys product
Review: I bought this CF card for use with a Cassiopea E-200 PocketPC PDA. First, all the documentation says that this card works with Windows CE 2.0 and 3.0. It also works just fine with Pocket PC 2002 using the drivers supplied on the CD.Setup was pretty easy. I use two wireless networks - one at home and one at work, both with DHCP. The software lets you set up multiple profiles for differnet locations. (I use encryption at home and none at work and the different profiles keep them straight). The MAC address for the card isn't printed anywhere on the card. I only found it by looking at the firmware version number in the software's "About" screen (I needed to register the MAC address to join my work's wireless network). Last thing and my only complaint (so far) is that the CF card sticks out of the top of the E-200 a little bit two much. Granted, this has nothing to do with the CF card :) Wireless roaming works well, good througput and good performance. It gets my reccomendation.

Summary: Linksys WCF11 + Linksys BEFW11S4 + Compaq iPaq = Fun
Review: I bought this Linksys WCF11 (Wireless CF Card) along with Linksys BEFW11S4 (DSL/Cable router - Ethernet hub). Connected the hub to the Cable Modem and ethernet card. Then, pushed in the Wireless card on my iPaq, installed the software and with an easy configuration, was up and running quick. Browsing web pages through PocketIE was neat. Everytime I power on my iPaq, it connects to the router automatically and I am ready to browse. Nice product. Wanted to buy CF Card from Socket communications. But figured Linksys hub should work with Linksys Card (and for the price of one SocketCom card, you can buy two Linksys CF Cards), decided to go with this and am happy!

Summary: Linksys & Sharp Zaurus
Review: I got this with the new Zaurus and it works well. However, it drains the battery very fast - lucky to get an hour out of it. Not sure if this is the Linksys CF card or the Zaurus in general. Even without the card, the Zaurus has a battery life (when constantly on with screen at medium brightness) of only 3-4 hours.

Summary: Works ok for short range
Review: I have a complete Linksys wireless setup networking 4 computers at home and love it. So, of course when I picked up my new PDA (the awesome Sharp Zaurus SL-5000D -- consumer version is SL-5500) I went straight [...here]and looked for a Linksys CF card to get my PDA wirelessly connected. Installation and configuration went fine, as I've come to expect, but when I attempt to use it in spots where my Linksys PCMCIA cards get 11Mbs, I get nothing! I would at least expect a drop off in connection speed, but no such luck. Wireless is not much good if you can't take your device where you want to surf from. Also, if you happen to be getting this for the Sharp PDA I mentioned, be warned that the T-shaped end of the card blocks the stylus, so you have to remember to remove the stylus before you power on the PDA. Very annoying. I'm going to return it and look at a Socket brand instead. Sorry Linksys.

Summary: Driver for pocket PC 2003 has to be downloaded
Review: I just purchased the Linksys CF card for my IPAQ. The Driver for Pocket Pc 2003 isnt on the install disk. You have to download it from a ftp site at linksys! Problem is that the BETA driver isnt there! They put there ad that it is for 2003 but it isnt! Good luck in getting the driver!

Summary: Worked out of the box with Sharp Zaurus SL-5500
Review: I know I should have paid more attention but not thinking and based off of someone's Jornada listmania list I bought this card on ebay. Needless to say the Jornada 568 only works with TypeI and TypeI extended. But not Type II's like this one. I'm sure that this is a great wireless CF card, but not if you own a Jornada!

Needless to say the Jornada 568 only works with TypeI and TypeI extended. But not Type II's like this one. I'm sure that this is a great wireless CF card, but not if you own a Jornada!

Summary: Great wireless card, but eats batteries like an suv eats gas
Review: I purchased this card with my Sharp Zaurus SL-5000D. I know that the Zaurus has the drivers already installed for this card so I plugged it in and it was up and running in no-time. I have a Netgear MR314 wireless router and it has no problems working with this card. The speed is great, although I never actually measured it, but many of the websites come up pretty fast. The only downfall to the card (and all other compact flash wireless NIC cards for that matter) is that the unit drains batteries too fast. It eats up a lot of juice and forces me to plug in the charger. The range on the unit is not as good as I hoped, but my router could also cause some problems. So far this is the only wireless CF card I tried, but I'm happy with it.

Review: I received this about a week before my Dell Axim... I couldn't wait to try it out. I installed the software - the Pocket PC sync'd up - slid in the card and I was off. I have a Linksys wireless access point in my apartment and it detected it immediately. Makes the whole idea of a pocket PC worthwhile - you can browse web pages (on a small screen), send & receive POP3 email (with attachments), Instant Message, etc. Can't wait to try it out on a public access point (like in bryant park). This will be another Linksys product that I recommend to my customers (and the Axim is pretty sweet too - not nearly as bulky as I thought it would be).
As some other reviewers mentioned - it does drain a battery.
