Review: This is undoubtedly the finest 35mm medium telephoto lens ever made; a superlative optical design which Leica used for its SLR version of this lens. Now it is available in this limited edition titanium finish which will ensure that the lens is more scratch resistant than before. It is being released along with matching 35mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.4 lenses, and a titanium special edition Leica M7 to celebrate the fifty anniversary of the Leica M rangefinder camera (The first Leica M camera, the M3, was introduced in 1954.). Although this lens is well worth using even in its new titanium finish, most who buy this lens will probably purchase it only as a future Leica collectible.
