Summary: Good accessory for a great camera
Review: I purchased this adapter for my Kodak DC240 (but will also fit the DC280 & DC3400). I chose the camera because there was a lens adapter option (for filters, etc). It is a black anodized aluminium adapter that mounts onto the camera fairly easily (via the tripod mount screw). Now, I am able to use star & polarizing filters with my digital camera. The use of the polarizing filter helps greatly when taking pictures outdoors, especially in the bright sunlight (eliminating the need to adjust the exposure compensation). In addition, I also purchased additional lenses for this camera: +7 and +10 Close-Up, 2X Telephoto Lens, & Super Wide Angle. The latter two are great when traveling and taking scenic images. My main complaint about this filter is that it adds bulk to the front and bottom of the camera, which can be an inconvenience if you are trying to lighten your load for travel. However, it can be a small price to pay once you see the pictures you take with the add-ons.

strengths: protects the zoom lens, ability to use 37mm filters & lenses

weaknesses: creates additional bulk to a somewhat bulky camera, lens cap pops off easily if you leave a filter on it
