Summary: Great Zoom lens
Review: I just bought mine today at Kenmore Camera, in Kenmore, Wa. They said it is the most popular zoom lens that they sell. I was initially looking for a lense that is good for portraits and they directed me to the Tamron AF 75-300mm 4-5.6 LD with Hood (Black). They showed me how it works and it really is cool how it blurs the background so that the subject stands out beautifully. Picture taking of people has never been easier because you don't have to worry about the background, hardly at all. You can have a pile of laundry in the background and it wont make much of a difference....It is awesome. I can't wait to develop my first roll. They also strongly suggested that I get the UV filter to go with as it magnifies the light and can seriously damage your eyes over time. I of course did, by the way. I highy recommend this lens.

Summary: Great lens
Review: I recently took this lens to Hawaii with me. I got some great shots of Diamond Head and Hanauma Bay. The shots of Diamond Head are so close it looks like I visted it.
I also put a UV filter on it and the colors are VIBRANT! I've received many compliments.
If you're looking for a larger lens, this is the one to buy.
