Description:
JVC's VS-DT2000 compact component system looks as good as it sounds. It can be installed by standing it upright on a table, setting it flat on a bookshelf or in an entertainment wall unit, or even mounting it on the wall. The VS-DT2000's accent on design and convenience is expressed through its vivid, two-color illumination. You can select from eight steps of color gradation between red and blue to match the color to room decor and personal taste. Also, the system has a reversible display, so all visual indicators--such as CD track number and radio station--are oriented in the right direction for easy viewing whether the system is set vertically or horizontally. The VS-DT2000 has a smooth, fast, motor-driven sliding panel that hides the CD while playing. The CD player offers CD-R/CD-RW compatibility, one-bit digital-to-analog converter, 32-track programming, and random/repeat play. The VS-DT2000 is as powerful as it is pretty, with a full-range, 19 watts-per-channel amplifier, a 60-watt powered subwoofer for deep bass, and twin direct-drive, aluminum-column speakers. The unit's amplifier has electronic bass and treble tone controls, independent subwoofer volume and auto-power-on control, 15 AM and 30 FM preset stations with auto preset, and JVC's Compu Play for synchronizing with other JVC components. Other features include a fluorescent display with dimmer, a clock/timer, three audio outputs (one optical digital-audio, one stereo analog, and one monaural subwoofer jack), a stereo headphone output, and stereo analog audio inputs.
