Rating: Summary: Do not look at any other system! Review: Do you want value for money or do you want a great sounding mini-system? Well with this little beauty you get both. I compared this system with more expensive Panasonic, Sony and JVC systems. The result, don't waste your time with Sony. JVC all look great but just don't cut the mustard when you turn up the volume, even in so-called high powered systems. The only system that sounded as good was the bi-amped Panasonic PM-17, but that was still $100 more expensive. I even compared it to $1000 Denon & Onkyo systems equipped with bookshelf speakers, and quite frankly they were not a great deal better. As you can see from the other reviews that this is a little gem. The sound is full and clean with rich deep bass. It has more than enough volume to fill a living room. But don't get too excited it will not get the ears bleeding during a party. But for less than $200Can + Tax what would you expect. Pros: Full clean sound. Deep bass. Enough power to fill your living room. Value for Money. Cons: At this price, I will not complain.
Rating: Summary: This is by the the best value for money SYSTEM! Review: I bought this 2 days ago for AUD[money amount]after comparing many others in its class. The result was that this system produces sound that is so rich in bass, so crisp in treble, all within a minimalist clean-cut birch/silver coloured exterior design. The speakers are tiny, but do not underestimate their size because you will be disappointed. These tiny speakers can fill up my entire living room (10m x 4.5m) with superb sound! In fact, these speakers are made of PP Mica compounds to give it a heavier feel and hence producing those deep sounds. I am still wondering if it really produces only 7.5W per channel as stated in the specs because when I look at the speakers, it was stated 35W total power output, hence, 2 speakers = 17.5W per channel. Anyway, it sounds great, it looks great and if you want value for money, go for this baby! Yeah!
Rating: Summary: Excellent sound quality Review: I bought this system for my bedroom and it is amazing. It has a very clear crisp sound quality. Looks pretty good. I wish they would have darker color for the speakers instead of light color wood. Only one thing about it is that the volume has to be around 25-30 range for it to be audible. It doesn't matter but below 15 you cannot hear anything. Still worth every single penny.
Rating: Summary: very nice Review: I bought this system yesterday, and after after checking Consumer Reports' site, I picked up the Philips mc-50 because it was a "best buy" according to them. I spent 2 hours comparing the two systems, side by side with the same music, and this little system (PAN SCPM07) outshines the Philips in sound quality bar-none. If you aren't looking for a rock-the-house system, but a very clean and clear bedroom or kitchen radio, this is it, I am extremely happy with it.. I will be returning the Philips...

Rating: Summary: probably the best in the class Review: I was looking for a small stereo system for my study room and after several weeks' online research decided to go for this one. I had reservations initially with this model because by specifications it does not stand very high in the class, although its appearance is quite attractive. Its major drawback is that it does not read MP3 disks as majority of new systems by Philips do; and also the speakers do not seem to be powerful enough. However, It turned out to be quite user friendly, unpretentious and sufficiently powered for my demands. No regrets for this purchase so far, except that I feel that the basses could be more stable (speakers are unshielded) as they sometimes outperform the vocals on the recordings with mixed instrumental effects.
Rating: Summary: Best bookshelf system by far Review: Saw this in a store, but they did not have any in stock at the time. My wife and I however went next door to an electronics store and found a bunch of other bookshelf systems, but none had the attention to detail that this one had. It was well designed, and the sound quality is unbelievable. The light color of the speakers worked in my favor because my entertainment system is beech veneer. With so many other systems having multiple CD's and dual tapes etc, we found they just would break all the more faster. Front loading and CDs and tapes (just like your car stereo) was a real plus for us because there are no doors to be broken after constant use. Once we got home we ordered this stereo from Amazon and have never regetted the purchase.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT. Review: This is the BEST music player you can imagine for the money. It is in fact a high-level, professionally engineered mini-system with marvellous sound quality, and it has an elegant appearance. Everyone compliments its good looks. It has the rare quality of causing us to fall in love with it the more we gaze and listen. The controls are logical and straightforward (but there are many program options so reading the operating manual is a must). This is a single CD and single cassette player. In my opinion that's a preferable design feature; there's not much to break. There's no downside to this baby. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE WINNER!

Rating: Summary: Excellent sound quality Review: Truly amazing for how small it is. If you are looking for a non-complex, Zen system that can blend in nicely with uptown decor- this is it. I still wonder where all the bass is coming from. It fills my whole living room with clear, loud, lovely music. Crisp highs, solid lows. A treasure for classical, folk, jazz and new age enthusiasts. I was going to buy a full system, but this handles all my needs fine. Pro's: -One touch play of cds and tapes. -Plays CDR's. (always copy your new cd) -Excellent sound. -Wood laminate speakers. -Clean, small design, no annoying flashing lights. Con's: -Kinda long, might stick out a bit on a bookshelf. -Speakers only come in ugly light wood. -not much else.
