Summary: Broken after 5 months
Review: I was impressed with the attractive appearance and quite impressive sound from this unit. However, the CD player stopped working after 5 months; thus, I can't recommend this product.

Summary: CD motor is too loud
Review: I was very impressed when I first tried this product. The blue display is awesome, and the system itself is very sharp with its clean lines. My amazement ended when I played a cd. The motor in the CD player is extremely loud. Anyone who plays their music rather low, or below the volume level 15 will hear a very noticeable sound. I will be returning this stereo as soon as possible. For anyone who is looking for an executive minisystem, I recommend the JVC FS 6000, 7000, or 8000. (They are all basically the same except the 6000 and 7000 models are older) I recently used a 6000 model and I loved it. Unlike the JVC FS- SD7, the JVC FS 6000's CD motor was very quiet.

Summary: Awesome sound, slick design
Review: Set aside the fact that this system is "cool looking," the sound is awesome. It fills a medium size room with very clear sound. It is easy to operate and the radio reception is much better than average.

Summary: Styling and clean sound at a low price
Review: This is a perfect unit for a small room, but it does not have enough oomph for cranking out some Led Zeppelin. I put this one in my bedroom where my moods are more relaxed and subdued and bought something a little more powerful for the rec room to play and bang my head against the wall.
