Summary: MUST Have item...always
Review: This is cheap insurance to preventing your greasy fingers from touching the main lense. The acids on your fingers I believe can actually etch the glass, thus making distortions in future pictures.
Thus, when you have this filter on your lense, you destroy a $20 item vs a expensive lense.
Trust me, when see your dumb finger print on your brand new camera lense, the last thing you want to do is going wipe it off and it'd be your luck if you scratched the camera lense..
Been there done that.
