Summary: Models for this case
Review: After reading one of the reviews I contacted the customer service desk to ask them to take a look at this item and see what models this case will work with. They responded that they did not have one to look at. So I decided to order it. I received this case 5 days later and sure enough it does not work with my model. So for those of you thinking of ordering this item these are the models that it will fit, according to the package: 600, 610, 700, 710, 750, 760, 700, PRG T615C and PEG T415. Shame on the customer service for not supplying this information even when it was requested. Hope this helps someone else out!!

Summary: Don't Waste Your Money
Review: For this type of protection you might as well just drop your Clié as it is. The case doesn't hold the unit securely and it's little tabs that are SUPPOSED to hold the unit in break off... within 5 days of purchase (of course after the receipt is lost), I'm looking for a safer and more reliable housing for my Clié.

Summary: Insecure, flimsy "security"
Review: I bought this case for my sister (I also got her a SJ20), so her Clié could be safe in her purse. Unfortunately, I installed the Clié, removed it, and then tried fitting it again - only to find the little stubs that are supposed to hold the PDA in place aren't as effective any more.

Moral of the story: once you fit it in, don't remove it. The holes seem to be in the right place to operate the PDA-in-the-case.

Can't vouch for it's PDA protection, though the Aluminum should keep the screen safe and buttons un-(clicked unintentionally), as is so often the case with my Toshiba e310 in it's leather slip case.

Summary: a good buy
Review: I bought this for my SJ 20 (my first pda). I'm notoriously clumsy, and sure enough, I dropped it within a couple of weeks. No damage, so I guess it did the job.

The little metal prongs that hold the pda in the case are pretty poor, but a little bending makes them hold the clie pretty securely. Overall, I'm pleased with the convenience, minimal weight, and protection - and the significantly lower price compared to the other cases I found.

Summary: Good enough
Review: I consider hardcase protection an absolute must when carrying my electronic brain in-pocket (which is the idea, isn't it?). The iConcepts case offers great metal hardcase protection for your Clie, but as other reviewers have noted, the clips for securing it in the case when the cover is open are worthless. I would have preferred a snug, friction-fitting foam of some kind instead. Because the Clie is allowed to slip slightly when inside the case, the cover can be difficult to open, and the Clie is not always easy to use in the case.

The cutouts allow access to the stylus, all I/O, and even the darn lanyard slot, but not -- curiously -- the HotSync (USB) port. A cutout in the case's neoprene stores a single Memory Stick.

Despite its flaws, the iConcepts case offers lightweight, good looking, strong protection and peace of mind, recently reduced in price on Amazon to boot. It's also about the only metal hardcase I could find for my Clie at any price.

Summary: Worthless! Poorly designed.
Review: I guess I should have known this product was worthless when I saw the pricing disparity between it and the well-known Rhino Skin case (which I can't review because I've never owned one). The Sony won't stay in place in the case and it's hard to open. Also, very difficult to get to the stylus. I purchased this because on my Sony Peg S-320, the cover constantly came off. Now the factory flip cover locks on and seems more secure. I still would prefer a hard case because I am always concerned about it getting scratched in my bookbag. Bottom line, under no certain circumstances should you purchase this item.

Summary: It works
Review: I had this surrounding my PDA for about 3 months. Didn't really get tested this morning when I left it on the trunk of my car (wow am I smart!) and drove away. About an hour and a half later I got a call from a guy who found the PDA in the street. The case is destroyed and the PDA did sustain some damage (scratches and dings in the plastic) but it still works fine. I was probably moving about 20 mph when it flew off. So, for the first impact, it did it's job.

On the down side the case doesn't close very securely and the pieces that hold the PDA in place don't do a great job. Next time around I'm going to install my own security (Velcro or doublesided tape) because, when using the case with an SJ30 you never need to remove it to change out rechargable batteries.

Summary: Does the job
Review: I have had this case for about two weeks. I find that it provides excellent protection for my Sony Clie SJ30. I carry the Clie everywhere, usually in my pocket. With this case, I can put it anywhere including my hip pocket without concern that it will get damaged.

The case adds very little size to the SJ30. It adds 2 oz of weight which increases the SJ30 weight from 4.5 oz to 6.5 oz. I think the protection is worth the extra weight.

There are openings for all the SJ30's controls and for the hotsync jack. I don't know if you can place the unit (with the case) in a hotsync cradle since I don't have one.

This case might be awkward for a left handed person since it opens to the right (opposite way that a book opens). That might make it hard to hold with your right hand and operate with your left.

Summary: Awesome product!
Review: I have people ask me all the time where I purchased this case. It works great! I love it! Highly recommended for those Clie users out there. The only other item I like almost as well is the leather case I purchased for my Ipod, but not as much as this. I can take my Clie rock climbing and never worry about scratching or denting it. Awesome! Technology on the go, isn't that what it's all about? ;)
