Summary: Just what I needed!
Review: For anyone who has had to replace a camera case recently, you know you have two choices: a cumbersome over-the-shoulder bag that holds your camera with 87 rolls of film, or a wimpy neoprene case. I have been to numerous camera stores, and can't find what I need for my Dad's camera. After looking for two months in three states, I was excited to find a case...especially since it could be shipped home in time for Father's Day.

This is the case for the amateur photographer, who has one standard lens for their camera permanently attached. Remember the leather cases that attach to the bottom of the camera and dangle while not in use? This product is intended to be a replacement. Not only does the worn case not protect the camera, but also looks shady when the camera is pulled out on those special occasions.

While the quality and durability of this product is good (3 stars), I am prevented from giving a higher rating. With the intended use of being a standard case, there is a flaw in design. The location of the screw to permanently attach the case did not fit our camera. There is no mobility in the location of the screw to adapt to various cameras.

Of all of my Amazon.com purchases over the last two years, this is the first return I have ever made. Guess I should have given Dad a tie.

Review: I purchased this case for my Minolta Maxxum XTsi camera in use with a 28-200 lens. I thought it might be a little long for my needs but it turned out to be the perfect size. The case is like others I've owned where a smaller base portion attaches to the camera body while the actual case snaps on to it. It's an ideal case for those times when you don't want to lug along a bag but still want some basic protection for your camera & lens. Much sturdier and easier to use than a neoprene case also. The earlier review stated a problem attaching this case to the camera but it fits my model perfectly.
