Summary: Can't complain
Review: I basically compared this case with palm's semi-metal hard case and the rhinoskin one. So far this case has been great. It's about as close to the tungsten's dimensions as it could be; the palm case seemed a bit bulky. It opens to the right which acutally ends up being better than I predicted for use, esp considering it has access on left for headphones and voice-memo button. The palm itself fist very tightly in the case; no chance it would fall out even when extending the palm. Like the other cases, it won't fit with the cradle, but this is less of a hassle than I'd originally thought, it slides out easily when you want it to. I'll probably buy a non-cradle charger anyway to alleviate this. It's lined with a thin, soft foam to be nice to the case and screen of the unit. One difference that doesn't affect me personally is that the palm case has a couple of slots on the inside for extra memory cards, and this one doesn't, but that also cuts down on its overall size. Drawbacks? I can't see any, it's a solid metal case at a better price than the rhinoskin.

Summary: Nice case, but a little difficult to hold
Review: I compared this case with the one from Palm. This case is more form fitting which is really great. The Palm case is a little bulkier.

As mentioned in an earlier review, the voice dictation memo button is difficult to press (and I have small hands). I rely heavily on graffiti anywhere and have mapped the side button to activate graffitti anywhere. So not being able to press this button and hold it makes this case unusable for me.

The other problem I noted is that since the cover is hinged on the right hand side it is difficult to keep a solid grip on the Palm. Your fingers must stay below the hinge which means you can only grip half of the side. The surface of the case is a little slippery so holding it firmly was difficult.

I really like this case but I feel I will need to use the Palm case instead.

Summary: Great case, good color
Review: I got this case as a replacement for the Palm branded case and I really like the iConcepts case much better. It's form fitting, my tungsten doesn't want to fall out (in fact, I cannot get it out easily!) and the lid snaps closed. It looks and feels very well-made; in fact, I cannot tell any difference between it and the innopocket/rhinoskin cases I have seen. One thing that was important to me was how it looked. It is not shiny silver colored like the palm branded case; it is a darker metal color similar to the tungsten and the metal is somewhat rough with a powder coat of some kind. It looks really nice and is a great match for the tungsten. I ordered a sync/recharger cable though, since my palm is so tough to get out of the case that I don't want to use the cradle anymore.

Summary: Best case yet
Review: I was spoiled on "hard cases" with my m500, because the "hard case" actually surrounded and protected the entire palm device in a clamshell fashion, clicking securely, and adding not much to the size and form of the PDA.

Tungsten cases, however, cover about 70% of the device, and most of them do close, bu fail to protect the screen adequately. The Palm "hard case" is made from plastic, doesn't actually "snap" closed, and doesn't allow you to fold the cover of the case back far enough to REALLY use the palm if it is still in the case.

This case, by iConcepts, REALLY is a better make for me. It covers about 80% of the device, it is made from aluminum (real metal), actaully SNAPS shut, and protects the screen area with a soft "neoprene-esque" inner lining on the metal cover. The IR port, SD slot, voice recording, headphone jacks are all still usable while in the case. This is also the ONLY hard case that I've found that allows you access to the feature connector on the bottom so you can sync / charge while in the case.

The only thing it doesn't have is any SD card carrying slots. However, for me, this is NOT a big detraction, and most of the cases that DO have SD slots, only have 2. I found a company on the net that sells pages for SD cards which hold 4 SD cards per page, two pages are [money]. This is how I have chosen to go for SD storage.

Summary: Great case, great value
Review: I'm using the case with a Tungsten T2, and am very happy with it. True, you must remove the PDA from the case to do a hot-sync, but after the first couple of times, it isn't hard to do that. (Use the little thumb space at the bottom to push it up.) The case itself is good quality and looks fine.

Review: Seems to be a fine case for my Tungsten T. It could be a little stronger -- I can bend the aluminum with my hands -- but it's really light and very form-fitting, so I guess it's a tradeoff I can live with. It also gripped my Tungsten *really* tight the first time I put it in, but it's loosened up a little bit since, and now it's fine. My only other gripe is that it's hard to hit/hold in the voice memo button for me (but I have really big hands, so for normal-sized people it's probably fine :). It'd get 5 stars if I could use it with the cradle, but you just need to get a charging cable (or pull it out of the case when you put it in the docking cradle). I haven't tried the "official" hardcase, but this one works just fine and costs half as much.

Summary: Fits excellent but forget the cradle
Review: The case fits excellent and looks great but you can't use the stadard hot-sync cradle, you have to take off the case every time you want to charge or sinchronize. You can buy a travel charger with usb cable.

Summary: Very Good Case
Review: The iConcepts hardcase fits very tight with little risk of the PDA falling out when closed. The hardcase is only slightly larger than the PDA itself and slips easily in and out of my front pocket. Snaps shut securely. Being left-handed, hinge on right-hand side was a big selling point. Interior padding was soft and seemed to provide reasonable cushion. Cutout along top edge allows easy "pull-up" grip to open the PDA. Not quite thin enough to slip into cradle. Nice compromise between case outer wall thickness and rigidity. Very pleased.

Summary: Great aluminum case for Tungsten T and T2
Review: This is a great little case. At two-thirds the price of the comparable RhinoSkin and Palm models, its is an excellent value. You know you're just paying for the name with one of those, anyway! It has quality, dust-coat aluminum that matches the T series very well. The clasp is excellent and if anything is tough to get open at first (it loosens up with use and becomes quite easy to open, but not so much so that it pops open on its own.) Its a very sturdy case and doesn't really feel thin or flimsy to me at all. The inside of the case is very thoroughly lined with neoprene, so there is no need to worry about metal-on-metal contact or scratches to the palm. There is also no mechanical device used to secure the palm in the case: its is held there by the friction of the enclosing neoprene cushion - which I also like very much. Unfortunately, the nature of that neoprene is the only reason that the case doesn't get 5 stars. It is really quite difficult to remove the Tungsten from the case due to the friction created by the lining. I'm afraid I'm going to pull the base of my T clean off of the top section! Its awkward to have to simultaneously push the bottom, pull the top, and stabilize the case just to hotsync, because as other reviewers have noted, its a very slim case - slimmer than all the others - but not so slim that it can sit in the cradle. So until my bluetooth PC adapter and charging cable arrive, I'm stuck having to wrestle with my T just to charge and sync it. If it were just a little easier to remove the palm from the case, then it would be an easy 5 stars. As it is its really a 4.5 star case, strengthened by the price and the better features in comparison with the rival offerings. Unless you simply MUST have storage for more than one SD/MMC card, then there is no reason to look elsewhere.
