Rating: Summary: Works great, and a great price! Review: As most people know, mini DVD-R discs can be quite expensive. Sony, for example, sells quality mini-DVDs for preferred use in their DVD camcorder, but the cost of each Sony disc can range from $3-8 (more in some stores). In my college courses we record student performances as a reuired part of the curriculum, and we use a Sony DVD camcorder. The cost of using mini-DVDs can quickly rise, so the importance of buying a lot of quality discs without breaking the budget is crucial. I've tried many different brands, and Velocity's quality is right up there. These mini DVDs are of high quality (even the jewel case is excellent), and after 250 recordings this semester we've never had any problem with the discs, whether it be recording to them directly from a Sony DVD camcorder, a Panasonic DVD recorder, or a computer. For the price and quality this is the best deal around. For $10 students can buy a five-pack and be set for the entire semester. My only recommendation would be for Velocity to allow more room on the DVD label so you can handwrite information on the disc itself. You'll either need to write very small on the label, write on the jewel case, or try to remove the firmly-attached label from the disc and affix another.
Rating: Summary: These discs are available elsewhere Review: I agree with the prevvious poster, these are great discs for a great price. however, it looks like amazon won't be restocking anytime soon, which is what the person told me whn i called. I looked on Google and finaly found these same Velocity 5-pack discs at www.thetechgeeks.com, and for a cheeper price too --- only $4.99 for the five pack. this isn't an ad for any company, am only sharing this info for those who want these discs and can't wait for amazon to ever get around to restocking.
