Rating: Summary: I've burned and watched 12 movies using Velocity DVD-Rs Review: I am using a G4 Powerbook...... No problems to report....Great price.... also no problems backing up data (burned 2)
Rating: Summary: Not printable to the hub Review: I bought these in November, and they were printable to the hub. However, the ones I just purchased were not, and I returned them. Curious.
Rating: Summary: Not a single one worked on my TDK Burner Review: I have a TDK indiDVD +R -R +RW -RW burner and use Roxio, it works flawlessly. Sony and generic CompUSA brand -R (and +R)have all worked fine for me. Another concern, someone else has repeat ordered these and has had different printable areas. I gotta think that the distributer that sells to Amazon is putting any old DVD runs under this label. Good luck, waste of my time troubleshooting and now shipping it back... At least Amazon has their act together.
Rating: Summary: SURPRISE... they work GREAT! Review: I ordered the 100 stack and have burned and ink jet printed about 50 so far. Every single one has worked on all three of my DVD, stand alone, players. I was really expecting the worst, so I am more than pleasantly surprised. In the past I've only used Verbatim because they were the only ones that worked consistently.
I used several different media formats, (avi, mpg, wmv in different sizes) imported 5 vidoes into MyDVD, added a customized, animated menu with music (real compatibility intense DVD burning) and every one worked. I'm so excited. Finally ink jet printable DVD media I can actually afford to use for my business.
I intend on purchasing a lot more
Rating: Summary: so far so good Review: It's apparently luck of the draw with these according to the vcdhelp people. I've been blessed to have received "good" media. Fortunately amazon has a good return policy so I'm not worried. I've gone through three spindles so far without issue.
You get what you pay for and true more so with the hardware you buy. If you bought a junk- or bargain basement cheapo burner then expect problems with low cost media in general. If on the other hand you had the good sense to buy a Plextor burner, too, then you can burn on pretty much anything without problems.
Rating: Summary: Great price. Excellent print surface. And they work! Review: Recently received my first 100-spindle and have burned about half of them so far without a single mishap. The print surface provides a quality profectional look that far exceeded my expectations. I've burned to two different burners (internal and external) without a glitch. The only rejects have been mistakes made on my part. Don't throw them away! They make great print testers.
Rating: Summary: not consistent Review: So far I have burned 10 of them. all successful from Nero ultra but half of them are having different kinds of problems while reading the disc. I have three different dvd players.
no problem at all with Memorex disc.
I bought this because I try to print direct to CD.
I'm using BTC 1008 burner. suggest not buying if you use this drive.
Rating: Summary: Works great on Pioneer A07 Review: The quality of this dvd-r does surprise me. I can burn it at 8x speed with my Pioneer A07 with firmware 1.13. 20 have been burned so far and they play fine in both Toshiba and Panasonic DVD player.
Rating: Summary: Blank DVDs At A Great Price Review: These are well-accepted by my Sony DVD+/-RW drive, and I burn on 6x when putting ISO images of my movies to disc. Not a single disc gave me a problem, and I've just ordered my second stack of 100. I'm in the U.S, and these DVD-R discs are easily read in my computer and my Symphonic DVD/CD player.
These are okay to write on with a thin, permanent marker (note that the purple side is the bottom). But because they are basically brandless, do take good care of them (don't get your prints all over/don't scuff/don't expose to heat or cold/don't leave them in your car, etc). Excellent discs for backing up your video collection. If you're looking to burn DVDS and you don't want to make a large investment, definitely try these.
Rating: Summary: Rebranded Optodiscs? Review: These look like they are rebranded Optodics now - not the best reputation for trouble free, durable media. But for the price, they burn faster than a RW and are perfect for stuff you only need to be around for a short period of time. One coaster out of 19 so far.
