Summary: Excellent Media
Review: After purchasing this same media in a 25 pack, I had to jump on the 50 pack.
Same great quality as the 25 pack of 4x, G04 Ritek media burns flawlessly at 4x & plays back in any of my dvd drives or players.
The 25 pack discs have a clear disc center while the 50 pack of discs have an opaque center of the disc. Not that it makes any difference, just thought I'd pass that along.
Next step.... a 100 pack!

Summary: Best quality, best price. No errors.
Review: After trying numerous brands of DVD-Rs, I found the perfect one for my system (Lite-On DVD recorder), and it's THIS! It's a great quality DVD-R, and works smoothly. No errors so far, and I'm almost finished with my 2nd spindle. And the price - you just can't beat it! Just 56 cents per disc! [Note: As of this writing, it's cheaper to buy 2 50-pack spindles than 1 100-pack spindle.]

I found videohelp.com to be helpful. (No, they're not paying me to advertise them.) It tells you what blank media is best for your specific recorder. See if Ridata is also best for your system!

Summary: Burning with Sansui 4005
Review: I burn my TIVO (VHS) output to these DVD's using a SANSUI 4005 (Sears) and I have yet to make a coaster. Now at 50 cents each I can burn any TV program without worrying about the cost.

Summary: Better than other types I tried
Review: I can't tell anything about 4x writing because my SONY DVD-R writer supports only 2x. Otherwise, the product seems to be perfect.

I used Optodisks before, and while I never had problems with burning and reading on PC, sometimes there were problems with reproduction on DVD-players (freesing picture e.t.c.).

Also I used some no-name DVD-blanks, and my burner just refused to write on them.

No problems with Ridata so far. Burn at 2x, no errors, no problems reproducing on DVD player. Will buy more.

Summary: You get what you pay for: this media burns at 2x, not 4x
Review: I have an NU Tech DDW-082 dual format (+/-) writer, firmware version B370, and while it burns other brand DVD-R's at 4X or higher, it burns these Ritek's at 2x. The results are reliable and they play well in my Panasonic RV-31 DVD player. But these are not 4X disks, no matter what the label says.

Summary: Excellent media for video and data
Review: I have been using Ridata DVD Media for some time now and I recommend this to every one, whose DVD burner supports Ridata/Ritek DVD media. I have used DVD+R/RW and DVD-R formats and they all worked flawlessly on my PC and DVD player. I must say that I have become big fan of Ridata media.

Summary: Top quality media
Review: I've burned about 100 of these without one error, either in the write process on my NEC-1300A, nor in playback on my computer or in my cheapo Toshiba dvd player. I use fast forward and rewind a lot, as I'm an impatient movie watcher, so these have gone through some hard work.

I had some problems with Memorex media, but then I read the reviews on videohelp.com. Hundreds of customer reviews are listed there, and you can match your exact burner to exact media for reviews of success and conpatibility. Ritek (or Ridata) G04's like these routinely get the highest ratings. They are in a class above any blank media you are likely to buy off a shelf in an electonics superstore.

Summary: 4X-8X
Review: I've written 50 of these discs (2 X 25pk) with Sony and LiteOn drives with 0 problems at 4X. Recently, I got a Pioneer DVR-108 and with the hacked firmware, I am able to write @ 8X without any problems to the 5 RitekG04 (free Newegg.com brand) which are the same discs as the Ridata 4X DVD-R (RitekG04). With these discs and DVR-108, I have no need to buy 8X and maybe even 12X discs anymore.

Summary: Quality media at a very low price!
Review: RiData is some of the cheapest highest quality DVDR media you can buy. It has lines for those of you who prefer lines for writing. Other than that the quality of the media is world renowned. Ritek is known for quality media. These discs burn and read perfectly on all players and burners I have tried. They burn fine at the 4x stated speed unlike what others have stated. This is the perfect blank DVD media. Don't hestitate, buy it.
