Rating: Summary: Works well with consumer DVD players Review: I've been using these disks for six months and have never had a problem with the DVD burner (Pioneer DVR-104) or authoring software (Sonic DVDit! PE, Ulead DVD Workshop, Sonic MyDVD) in recognizing the disks. I can't say the same for some cheap, generic disks I've bought - they're coasters now. The Memorex media is also easily recognized by my DVD players (Panasonic A120, Pioneer DV-353, and Apex 1100W).
Rating: Summary: You Can't Write Over These Review: Just wanted to clarify another poster's "review": these are DVD-R discs, which means you can't "burn over" them. They are single-write discs. I've used this brand, and had excellent results. But to be clear, if you want to "burn over" anything, you'll need to use either DVD-RW or DVD+RW discs.

Rating: Summary: Amazon.com price the best Review: The 3-pack Memorex DVD-R version 2.0 I purchased at Staples for $12.98, $4.03 MORE than Amazon.com is charging. Of course the key to ordering them from Amazon.com is to order in bulk, or add them on to one of your regular orders so you aren't paying any extra freight. I use these in my flat panel I-Mac for making DVDs: they work well with the I-Mac, and with the newer DVD players. Not all DVD players will play the newer technology burned-at-home discs, if you are going shopping for one, take one of your discs with you to put in the floor samples to make sure they work. Luckily I took one of my discs with me to Circuit City; I was considering a player that said it would play the discs, but could not read the homemade one I put in.

Rating: Summary: Memorex DVD-R discs Review: The case seems to be a deluxe CD-size case. The inside part of the holder is not thin and boxy but round and smooth. Since we all make the occasional coaster, these are the only CD cases which I keep when it happens. I use them for other disks I burn. I wished Memorex supplied these cases for their DVD+R and +RW disks as well, since I use these in addition to the -R.

Rating: Summary: Memorex DVD-R discs Review: The product is fine. The shipper (Office Depot) charges a shipping rate that is nearly 50% of the price of the discs. That is outrageously high and makes the product, as offered here, not worth the money.
