Review: I don't know how they did it, but TDK has made one hell of a durable product here. I tried to scratch it with my fingernail... nothing. I tried rubbing it HARD on my carpet... nothing. I tried skidding across my linoleum kitchen floor... nothing. I tried scraping it with a sharp metal nail... OK this time I scratched it. Bottom line, unless you're actively trying to destroy it, it won't give in! And of course you'll be handling it carefully anyway, so under normal use it'll be fine. Got smudge? Wipe it with your shirt!

This DVD-R is totally compatible with my Sony RDR-GX7 DVD recorder and plays back in a variety of players; I've played it in my RCA, Panasonic, Sony, and PC. This is the only serious choice for archiving. Why risk your memories with a disc that'll scratch when you look at it the wrong way? Get TDK's Armor Plated and you'll never regret it.
