Description:
Maxell's DVM digital videocassette is in a camcorder format that uses tape half the size of standard VHS tape and records information digitally. Maxell DVM records video at 500 lines of horizontal resolution (most live television broadcasts are approximately 330 lines of resolution) and audio at a level comparable to that of CDs. Because this medium is digital, camcorder editing is possible, and tapes can be dubbed without degradation in video or sound.Maxell's DVM employs metal-evaporated technology with a recording density approximately six to seven times greater than that of VHS for maximum picture and sound clarity. An additional outer coating protects the metal-evaporated recording layer of Maxell DVM, providing durability and reliability even under repeated editing operations.
