Review: has a wonderful sound, is very light, but the best of all is its remote control. It is very easy to use, it does everything we need, you can see all operations at night, and you can switch the hearphones you want. The only thing i didn't appreciate is the hearphones. There are other models that are more comfortable than the provided.

Summary: Don't exercise with this product
Review: Sleek, with very high-quality sound, this discman provoked envy among my friends. I tend to leave it in groove mode, because I listen mainly to dance music. The only disappointing feature is the so-called skip protection. Whereas a Panasonic I owned could handle being strapped to my body as I exercised on the stairmaster, this one has trouble if I swing my arms energetically as I walk. I guess if you listen to music mainly when you're sedentary on a plane or in a car or tanning on the beach, this should do just fine.

Summary: a well-above-average discman
Review: when you set out buying a portable CD player, which are among your considerations? anti-shock? sound quality and sound loudness? feature richness or simplicity? battery life? the remote control?not surprisingly, sony D-E775 appears strong in most fields above, if not all. as the other reviewer stated, the remote control is the best part of this device. fact as a matter, it often gathers the most attention from my peer. it offers control to just about everything -- everything except "resume" and "AVLS control" -- and the LED light is brighter than both G-shock or timex indiglo combined together. the little clip on the remote control is so thoughtful, since the remote control is somewhat heavy that i must clip it on my shirt. the earphone is marginal. it's fine for average users, but for picky listeners like me, i'd rather replacing it with a true headphone (think MDR-V300). but when was the last time you saw a walkman/discman/MD walkman came with a decent earphone? D-E775 provides 3 levels of bass enchancement: normal, mega bass, groove. groove is often too strong that it distorts the sound *badly*. esp2, the anti-shock system, is what sony boasts on its advertisements. i was disappointed about this. maybe i've dropped it for couple times, it pauses for a rather long period (say, 40 seconds) when i'm walking, particularly when the discman is in my knapsack. now walking with the discman in my hand is my only option. i probably should be thankful that the discman isn't dead yet, even after about 4 crashes to the floor. the rechargable batteries that come with the discman are certainly dollar-savers. they take 4 hours to get fully charged, unlike other batteries that take 14 or 20 hours. on regular usage, they last for 4 - 5 days, which is adequate for me.
